Republican Presidential Candidates

Trump for President is like having a son-in-law. He will do...if you just have to have one. Not that you want him, but he'll do.

What if he did receive the GOP nomination? Would you vote for Hillary?

I would stay home and mourn the loss of my beloved country.

:(
I will feel the same way if Bush or Christie gets it so that's narrowing things down some.

I don't like Trump; but if it's between him, one of the Socialist Democrats, and another single digit Libertarian....I would hold my nose and vote for Trump.

If Trump were to get the nomination then the game is truly over,
time to cash in your chips and pray for the sweet meteor of doom.

I dunno. Trump has one big thing going for him, and it's the same thing people hate about him. He doesn't care what he says or does.

Maybe this country needs a little of that right now.

Our beloved country is gone.
The simple fact that an egotistical lowlife is the only person willing to tell it like it is, is a perfect example of how far gone this country is.

Make no mistake, I detest Donald Trump.
But that doesn't mean he isn't telling a lot of things, just like they are.

WHY? OH WHY, can't the rest of our so called leaders do the same?

:dunno IDK why they won't. All they have to do is look at what Trump is saying and see that is what the people want right now. Someone has to be smart enough to recognize that, I hope.
As for Trump getting the actual nomination, I do not see it, but I would really think that sitting out an election is not an option at this point. We might still lose, and at this rate I am not even close to thinking we will win, but I am not going to be one that sits home and lets another Democrat and their ideas win without at least a fight. (vote)

Disclaimer: I do not think that all Democrats are bad, but Hillary looks to be the nominee at this point and after this long with Obama.... I am not even going there. :girlsaysno

Though Harry Truman was a Democrat, he often said what was on his mind whether people wanted to hear it or not. Trump is like that. Quite frankly I like a lot of what he has to say, but there are things Trump says he would do as president that he can't do without congressional approval. That's something that would be difficult for Trump to accept.

The reason why the won't is because they choose to remain politically correct so the MSM won't crucify them as badly.

It hasn't stopped the bozo we have now, it shouldn't stop Trump either. Not saying it's a good thing or that he should do that, just that it obviously can be done without it.

McCain is a moron who is a RINO and has done much damage by not holding to conservative ideals, who graduated near the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy, who was responsible for at number of issues with planes while in the Navy and who some say was responsible for his own crash, and who started this whole fracas by calling Trump supporters something like crazy hobbits. The Donald has doubled down and is refusing to apologize...I'm glad. And I love his campaign slogan - Make America Great Again. As stradial says, this is Ronald Reagan territory.

If Trump wins the Republican nomination, that's a guarantee that I'll vote Democrat. And frankly, I wouldn't want to be compared to Reagan. His talk was better than his walk.

But, I don't think what he said was out of line based on past history. I look back to how John Kerry was treated when he ran. Whatever his faults, he was a veteran. This and much worse was said about him, and no one on the Republican side batted an eye. So, the only reason anyone is crying about it now is because McCain is a Republican.

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this post. I read you as a moderately conservative person. The two top Democrat contenders are an admitted Socialist and a corrupt and lying liberal. Even with all of Trump's faults; how could he be worse than either of them? At least the man has a record of leadership and getting things done.

I would probably vote Libertarian. I honestly believe that any of the democrats or Trump would be seriously bad for the country. I see no other choice.

Here's why I would vote for Trump if he received the GOP nomination. He's a successful businessman. He knows how government regulations and taxes has forced American manufacturing overseas. He also knows how regulations has hurt job growth outside manufacturing as well. Democrats want more regulation to stifle job growth even further. I will make a bet with you guys. If a Democrat, any Democrat wins the WH in 2016 we will have single-payer health care in this country even with a GOP majority Congress because the GOP will cave saying it was the only way to fix ObamaCare. We've been hearing for years now how the GOP has a viable health care plan, but they have never produced it. The papers they had rolled up in their hands on the house and senate floors during the votes on the ACA were in fact blank pages.

What bothers me the most is that the main GOP talk is centered around Trump and how "bad" it would be if he gets the nod. What we should be discussing is how good the other GOP candidates are and why they'd be a better selection than Trump. As it stands now, Trump is the GOP man, at least until the GOP partners with the liberal media to destroy him. The question is, who is #2 in the event Trump falls?

In my opinion the talk should be, why are the other candidates, of either party, afraid to speak the truth about what is right and what is wrong with the way this country is going.

Heck, it don't matter, Republican or Democrat, they are just out for themselves.
Who knew that in 1974, Mel Brooks in his comedy, Blazing Saddles, was giving the politicians a game plan for the future.
