Republican Presidential Candidates

Hahaha Wouldn't you think highly-paid campaign advisors would think of making sure their logo is distinct? At any rate, great for the company playing along.
You would think, right? A quick search would have shown them it was a logo in use, and not by just a mom and pop company. As for America's Best, they had me :laugh at their hashtag and the tweets. That they played along and did not make an issue out of it with lawsuits or threats makes me want to use their business. If more people and companies would let things go and make the best of things we all would be in a much better place. :)

I told the wife's daughter's husband this weekend, that it is absolutely insane that the only person running for a national political office that I have heard say anything that I could agree with and admire, is a self absorbed, ego maniac, asshat named Donald Trump.

I find that a sad sad commentary on the state of our political parties and our political candidates.

BTW, the son in-law, makes me look like a liberal.
(which I am on some things...I prefer to say I have common sense and empathy)
Apparently you are not alone. I saw a poll yesterday that he is leading in the large field of candidates. :))

On that note, maybe some of the real republican candidates should look at what he is saying and what people are agreeing with and want. :dunno

Trump needs to hire better staff as well apparently.

Oops.

Trump is sounding good to some people because he's talking tough. People are angry and frustrated at the direction of this country; and ballsy talk like Trump is doing is resonating with them. The climate is right for someone who will make a stand.

How long this will last remains to be seen. But don't forget that gutsy talk, albeit with a bit more polish, is much of what excited the voters about Reagan.

That is what I was telling the son in-law.
After Carter ran the country down and went around acting like being an American was a bad thing and that our country was no account, Reagan came in and said, this is a good country, this is a great country, it's good to be an American, we are going to be proud, walk tall and carry a big stick.

You could feel the whole country get energized.
Reagan said the things that needed saying and to hell with you if you didn't like it.

Trump should just go away. He has no chance at winning especially when making statements like this:

Trump would be a disaster for Republicans. He may excite some elements of the party, but he would lose the general election and, on the crazy chance he did win, he would be a disaster for the country.

Trump is here to shake this race to it's inner core....and he's doing a terrific job at that. The media and other candidates are running absolutely scared of him and at what is happening in the polls. He will change this race like we have never seen before! He knows the game like no one else and it playing it with skillful expertise the others do not have.

This going to be an interesting race and the "show" is just starting!

McCain is a moron who is a RINO and has done much damage by not holding to conservative ideals, who graduated near the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy, who was responsible for at number of issues with planes while in the Navy and who some say was responsible for his own crash, and who started this whole fracas by calling Trump supporters something like crazy hobbits. The Donald has doubled down and is refusing to apologize...I'm glad. And I love his campaign slogan - Make America Great Again. As stradial says, this is Ronald Reagan territory.

He graduated 790th in a class of 795. He was disciplined many times while in the Naval Academy. Most likely he wasn't kicked out because both his grandfather and father were admirals. McCain was involved in three airplane crashes. The first was determined to be pilot error. The second was an engine malfunction. The third when he was shot down over North Vietnam. After his release from Vietnam, he had a flight accident that did not result in a loss of the aircraft, but he did admit to being at fault for "daredevil clowning." Some count the loss of his aircraft from the fire on the USS Forrestal as a "crash," but his plan never took off. The incident on the Forrestal occurred when a rocket accidentally launched from an F-4 and hit McCain's A-4 that was waiting to take off.

THANK YOU. I was thinking of looking up all the references for that, but you did it much more succinctly than I would have, and you have a military background - giving it more weight, IMHO. I did read the Forrestal fire wasn't his doing.

I believe General George Armstrong Custer graduated at the bottom of his class at West Point (and was an arrogant arse, by many accounts). As an aside, if you're ever up in Waski's neck of the woods, you should stop by the Custer National Monument/Park/whatever. It is so easy to see how he was defeated when you stand there looking over the terrain. Fascinating. The monument/park is in Montana, but near where Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming meet. Well, North Dakota and Wyoming don't meet, but you get the idea.

You guys don't count Trump out. People are tired of panty waisted politicians. Trump is talking tough and saying what a lot of people are thinking, and it is resonating with the voters. And not just Republican voters.

I still think he's an arrogant jerk; but he just might be what keeps the Dems from winning the next race.

The fact that Trump is the only person making any sense is a sad commentary on how far down this country has fallen.
I have zero respect for Donald Trump as a person, but even an egotistical lowlife can be right about things.

Ann Coulter says he's the only one who's right down the line on immigration. Although Ted Cruz is right behind him, and has been vocal in his support of Trump (prior to the McCain thing...haven't heard since then). But Trump is getting a LOT of support from conservatives on the McCain thing.

My dad had already received his orders to transfer to the Forrestall when the fire/explosion happened, 2 weeks later and he would have been onboard. I can still remember watching the Forrestall coming into port in Jacksonville a couple of weeks later. Something you never forget.

A friend of mine was serving on the USS Bennington at the time; the first ship to respond to the Forrestal disaster. He said it was horrific. The Navy uses film footage of that disaster as part of their fire training on ships because it shows so many things not to do.

What gets me is, why can't some of our so called leaders say the truths that the egotistical hair piece is saying.
When did it become such a bad thing to tell the truth?

Never mind, I just remembered, 1932.Germany.
