Amazon Logistics

Well, the "delayed" package, is still in the "Delayed" state, but shows as out for delivery. I'm trying not to get my hopes up just have them crushed if it really doesn't show up.

Other one hasn't been scanned since the morning of the 4th. Maybe they haven't gotten to that trailer yet. I can understand that the overnight and 2 day packages have priority over the "free shipping" service level.

Well, I reported the one missing package to Amazon today and they replied that it was lost and promptly refunded my money.

Welcome to my world. Mine made that transition Monday and there they sit. One shipped from McDonough on the 30th. I could have walked there and back by now.
I have a package from McDonough that went out the 30th too, and has not been updated since Monday . Yours was not coming from Home Depot was it?

I'm dealing with the opposite this morning. A driver loaded one of our shipments at 6am in Lawrenceville for same day delivery in Dresden, TN. The receiver calls to say he needs to postpone delivery until tomorrow morning since he's short on workers today. I nicely told him the driver will be patient, he is scheduled to load another shipment later tonight and must get unloaded this afternoon.

There must be a giant pile somewhere that hasn't been scanned since the 4th as that was the last day my monitor was seen.

The "Delayed" vacuum did the great circle route yesterday.

I just had to order a part for our sleep number bed and guess who they use for shipping? That's right UPS. That will make 4 packages I'm waiting on, 3 UPS one USPS.

Diva - is there any way to divert the shipments to a local UPS store? Would that increase the odds of the package actually moving if it is here in the ATL somewhere since that would save the driver a lot of driving?

What gets me is there was actually a segment on Fox Business yesterday regarding the on-time delivery percentages of UPS and FedEx. While that for FedEx was definitely higher they actually stated that UPS has identified the cause of their delays and have take steps to correct it. I wanted to throw the remote at the tv for ya'll but didn't because I'd to have to order another one and wait for it to deliver.

Sadly, you can, but the results probably will not be any better. Husband went into the system and diverted one of my packages that was moving to HIM. He told one of his secretaries to notify him as soon as it made it to Atlanta. She went to his office yesterday and said she had bad news, it totally fell off the system and she has no idea where it went.
The problem is there are 1,000's of new workers across the country, on top of an unprecedented amount of packages, and hundreds of rental trucks and trailers. The scans are not being completed correctly, trailer and truck numbers are not being put in the system as temporary and then they can't find the packages, and even the inside visibility (what we do not see) on ETT does not even make sense at this point.
They are working 24/7 to fix this and make sure people do get their packages...eventually.
I will give you one small hope. The things ordered yesterday are making it through the system as they should. I believe that all that was ordered during cyber week will stay a cluster of massive proportion, but the new stuff seems to be relatively ok.

Thanks. That gives me hope that the bed part will make it ok.

Is Brown gonna pay you for being their liaison to The Hwy?
They need to pay me! :p
I do not mind helping people here you are not getting insane and crazy. I have friends that have lost their minds over packages and their posts on FB and Twitter are insane. When it comes down to it we are losing stuff, very nice stuff, but still stuff. (No one I know has meds coming or I would jump in to help) The language and wishes on peoples heads that work for any delivery company is crazy.

Yup. Homey-D's.
I know where it is. It is in a pile that looks like Mount Everest. I have been told that it will be sifted through today. :connie1: I am not holding my breath, but might have mentioned a butt kicking if it did not get done. (Now whether he believes me or not)

Interesting! The monitor, which quit tracking on Monday, was just delivered. Yea!

So tracking doesn't seem to mean much for now.
:cheer1:

That's pretty much what FedEx told me. The lady said that if they find the box and it has a label, it will be delivered. She asked for a week before reporting it lost to the shipper, although most shippers track their shipments anyway. Fortunately I don't need it immediately, so I'll play along for awhile.

Well, @ShoeDiva was right...they delivered my "lost" package tonight about 8:45. It was in teh mailbox, so I'm assuming USPS completed it.

I bet Amazon back charges me for it now. But that's OK since I gog it.

I hope FedEx is on schedule tomorrow. I've got a delivery that was shipped yesterday scheduled for delivery tomorrow and it's one that I MUST have on time.

Actually...MUST have may be an exaggeration. I NEED to have it tomorrow.

Actually...NEED may be an exaggeration too. I WANT it tomorrow is more accurate.

*New phone...not like I don't have 8 other phones laying around here. :whacko:

The wife was expecting two packages yesterday. When I say expecting I mean demanding they be delivered as promised. She was, ugh, verbally expressing her "concern" and starting tracking the packages. Finally got a delivered at 19:30. Looked on porch, look at basement door, finally took golf cart to mailbox @ 20:00. Much to her (my) relief there was a package in the mailbox. After opening the package lovely one discovers there is only half of her order in the box. Repeat above with new time line. She gets another confirmation at 20:40. Same search and recovery mission same results. Stonewall got to get some sleep last night.
