Amazon Logistics is basically a freight brokerage service. Obviously they don't have enough of their own equipment to keep up with the delivery demands so they sub-contract to other approved carriers for delivery service. The subs are committing to particular shipments which is why AL shows them as shipped, but the subs are not meeting the delivery parameters and more than likely not communicating the service failure to AL in a timely manner. AL needs to get a handle on it and pronto, before people lose faith in their ability to timely deliver purchased items. Based on my experience in the freight brokerage business I'm certain that's where most of the service failure is occurring. Maybe they could hire me to fix the problem. Of course it would cost them $10 Million....no....$10 Billion dollars.
