Amazon Logistics

Pursuit Driver
Is it just me or do they just suck at making deliveries?

I've had more issues in the last 3 months with packages sent via Amazon's delivery service than I've had in the prior 15 years with packages sent via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.

:banghead:

Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary, other than the "next day" deliveries have been stretching into the next 2-3 days.

Are you referring to the Amazon white van deliveries? We don't get those where I live, but my daughter in Kennesaw is quite put out with them. The drivers are idiots; they leave packages all over the place, even set on on the lawn mower behind the house and she watched him literally stand at the van and throw one in the bushes while it was raining.

Surprisingly, teh USPS is doing a pretty good job with their end of Amazon deliveries. UPS usually does as well, though they made a major screw up with one of our packages last week. Wifey had one sent to my office in Hiram and somehow it was delivered to Buckhead. We reported it and they checked GPS to find that it had been sent to the wrong place, so they picker it up and re-delivered to the correct address.

We've had a lot of trouble with FedEx, with Amazon and other deliveries. Several of my packages have flat gotten lost, never to appear. They appear to have issues.

And yes...I've noticed that many of the 2-day shipments have turned into 3-5 day. I will be having a chat with Amazon about that prior to renewing my Prime membership.

Nah, not the "white van" deliveries. Just the typical "Prime" designated stuff that is supposed to get here quick. Quite often it is several days.

I'm sure they are experiencing issues due to turning into the shopping behemoth they find themselves to have evolved into. Hard to run the logistics on a ship that big ...

My wife had ordered something from Amazon and she thought it never arrived and contacted them after two weeks. After she called, I found the package in the backseat of her care. Federal Express saw that her car was unlocked when they delivered it and put in the backseat instead of bringing it to the door.

Yep, the packages delivered by the Amazon drivers. I have really good success with UPS, FedEx, and USPS but the Amazon deliveries are pissing me off lately. More are late or lost than not these days.

Sigh...yet another delivery scheduled for today that is nowhere to be found. :banghead:
Please make sure you report, and follow up on those reports because those deliveries do seem to be an issue with many. Luckily, knock on wood, I have not had many issues over the years. Is the Amazon Logistics the same company as the 2 hour delivery? I have only had one delivery from the main website that stated Amazon Logistics, but I get the 2 hour Prime Now quite often. I hate you or anyone is having problems because one of the biggest draws of Amazon is getting your item fast.

I'm reporting it each time. They did refund the total cost of one item that is late (only $9) but I still haven't received it yet.

Good grief.
I hope if enough people have trouble maybe they will do something. The Amazon Logistics packages seem to have a lot more than the occasional issue.

Sigh...they just plain suck. One of the orders I was referencing earlier was for a phone case. When it wasn't delivered on Monday as they promised I contacted them again and they said it was just lost and issued a full refund so I could order it again. The delivery date for the new order was today by 8PM. Well, guess what....no delivery today and tracking shows it as likely lost again. They just plain suck. Maybe I'll start using Walmart.com more since they don't have their own shipping folks.

:banghead:

Sigh...they still just plain suck. Now the customer service reps are flat out lying to me. One said he'd put a $30 credit in my account to compensate for the delivery issues. It never happened and the latest customer service rep basically called the other one a liar and that they don't do that. And they keep telling me the package will be delivered tomorrow but it never happens.

I wrote a very long email detailing the recent issues, especially the phone case order that they can't seem to figure out how to deliver, and sent it to Jeff Bezos (found his email address online....jeff@amazon.com). Yeah...it probably won't help but I figured it can't hurt at this point. The email didn't bounce so either it got delivered or it went into the same black hole that the phone case I ordered went into.

We order A LOT on Amazon. From holiday packages to everyday items.
Knock wood, we haven't had a whole lot of delivery issues, although, we too have noticed that some prime items do not always arrive in 2 days.
I'm not sure if that's Amazon's fault or the delivery carrier.

I wish there was an option to choose a carrier. After you mentioned the Amazon Logistics issues you were having, a few others I know did too. :emoji_frowning2: I have only had issues with the post office and that sure post stuff. I circumvented it with UPS because of My Choice, but I still get stuff not delivered by the post office, delivered late, or literally put in front of my downspout (while it is raining!) or garage door (which when I am backing out of the garage you can not see & does not pick up on the sensor until too late) from the Fed Ex sure posts. (FTR I bring out water on very hot days to my post office lady, give her a gift at Christmas and she still will not walk to the front door...I can not imagine where she puts others packages.:emoji_confused:)

I hate that you have had such an issue lately.

^This

But I do understand that it might not work with their system of multiple warehouses and stuff.

FedEx is the worst! Literally half of the stuff I've ordered that was shipped FedEx disappeared into never never land and were never found. And they can't seem to understand that my office address is in a business park, and we're not open for 8:00 PM deliveries.

UPS typically does a good job, except for a couple of recent issues.

Surprisingly, the USPS has done pretty well with Amazon deliveries...at least around here.

SurePost and UPS seem to work fairly well, but FedEx flat sucks. I have no experience with Amazon Logistics, and it sounds like that's a good thing.

You have to be in one of their Prime One Day areas to get their white van deliveries. Hiram is qualify.

We live on a dead end street and FedEx seems to think that any address on the street will do. We have had the driver swear that he delivered it to our correct address just to have the package show up a week later damaged and with no explanation. One time our neighbor got one of our packages and called FedEx the next day to redeliver (yup, too lazy to walk it down the street I guess). The lady said that she stood there and watched the driver tear the label to obliterate the correct address before he took the package back. Amazon received it back a week later as undeliverable and emailed me to see if my address had changed. I told them the whole sordid story and asked them to never use FedEx, but they ignored me.

I had to register my address in Ellijay as "new" with the PO because mail hadn't been delivered there before. Ten days later I mailed myself a letter to make sure that the address worked even though it was still showing up as invalid on their Zip Code locator. It worked fine, so I ordered something from Amazon to be delivered there, and yup, FedEx got the package. They didn't even attempt to deliver it. As soon as it reached their first sorting facility it was sent back to Amazon. Amazon contacted me and I told them that the address was valid and they needed to use UPS. UPS found me with no problems.

Like everyone says, there should be a way to specify a shipper on every order.

Update: Someone at Amazon (not likely Jeff Bezos) got the email and forwarded it to their Executive Customer Relations team. Short version is they are going to attempt to prioritize different carriers to deliver to my address instead of Amazon Logistics. Not sure I believe it but we'll see. The $30 credit is there but just not visible until I go to place another order. And they are giving me an additional $30 gift card.

All that sounds great but tomorrow I get to chat with their support again when the package isn't delivered again (tracking info shows no change in the last week so it's most certainly lost again).

I pulled some strings for you.
