Trump team eyes Nov. 14 announcement

I previously voted for Trump, and if he's the nominee, I'll vote for him again, but I hope he's NOT the nominee. We need to move on.

DeSantis is a good choice, even Jim Jordan or Ted Cruz or Mike Pence would be a good choice. I just hope Trump doesn't run again. He's too divisive, and we need unity right now more than ever.

Surprisingly I do have to agree with this one. DeSantis currently has momentum and won by a wide margin so he could help push Walker over the finish line. Trump should probably let 2022 play out before focusing on anything for 2024.

I saw a tweet yesterday with a quote from Larry Hogan essentially saying due to the election results he is more inclined to run in 2024. More people in the primary = Trump nomination.

Here's an article about it.

Hogan doesn't have the national name recognition DeSantis has.

It really cracks me up to listen to all the irrational dreamers out here who think they can stop Trump from running by not voting for him in the primaries,,, yeah, pick DeSantis, that will fix Trump! Trump will run for POTUS in 2024 as long as he is alive and not under indictment for treason. If he doesn't win the primary, he will run third party ala Ross Perot, and let me remind you what happened,,, Bill Clinton was elected! If you want any chance at all of putting a Republican in the Whitehouse in 2024, you have to get rid of Trump,,, PERIOD!

One thing that might keep him from running as a third party candidate is that he would be guaranteed to lose. He hates losing so that might be incentive enough to not run.

I really don't think so, He believes in scorched earth as a part of pride. Look what he did to us before the last run off that caused us to lose two GOP senators and the control of the senate. When his pride gets wounded after he loses the primary to whom ever wins it, he will go into scorched earth mode and screw up the GOP's chance of winning the election, and he probably believes he can sway enough people to beat the Dems. Scorched earth, he has done that before!

The good news is that if he does decide to run again then there's many plenty of time to warm up to the idea and realize he isn't nearly as bad as portrayed. I'd like to know which candidate, from either party, draws nearly as many to their events as DT. The answer is none...as in nodda.

All those people at his events didn't result in a win in 2020.
