Evidence or coincidence? Such is life in national politics. Sadly, it works because people take the bait.Guard Dad date=1446832870 said:J-man date=1446832774 said:I'msureguessing Trump is behind it. It's all fair in love and war.
Carson was ahead of him a week or so ago.

Agreed. The pyramid thing is ridiculous. This, however, may do him in.
I think the confusion is in "offered a scholarship", which is not correct. He never applied and therefore was never offered a scholarship. I don't doubt for a moment that whomever it was (Westmorland?) said that they could probably get him an appointment. It sounds like a technicality, but it is an important one. It sounds like he turned down a scholarship position to Westpoint. He did not.Grey Colson date=1446840364 said:Politico are the ones who are lying. Rush read directly from his book in which he states that he was invited to dinner in Detroit with (I believe he said General Westmorland) for being the top ROTC officer and was offered a scholarship, but he never took him up on it or even applied.
Politico doesn't care that they falsified the story because all the major lame stream outlets are reporting it as accurate. That's all they wanted, even if they have to retract it. It's out there and people are hearing it and many will believe the lie regardless of its accuracy.
It's the political lynching of a black republican is all this is.

Remember he was 17 or 18 at the time so to him I'm sure it sounded like he was being offered a full scholarship.lotstodo date=1446840758 said:I think the confusion is in "offered a scholarship", which is not correct.
