Interesting polls

Seas of red! Virtually every national poll has Trump winning now, and he'll likely do considerably better in the Electoral Vote.

Of interest, Virginia is tightening. While Biden still leads, Trump is within striking distance. Maybe Youngkin can help.

So why do they do polls if they mean nothing? Why do the campaigns pay big money for them?

Campaigns pay for them to get an idea of where they stand at the time of the poll. This helps them determine if they need to change course before November. Media pays for them for views and clicks.

Most political polls, especially those released closer to the general election, are carefully orchestrated propaganda pieces used to affect voter opinion in an attempt to sway votes in one direction or another. Their purpose is not so much to “inform” but rather to “form.”

They are also for primary elections. You have to win the primaries before you can be a candidate in the general.

They paid big money for all the polls that showed Hilary walking away with the general election too. I’d like to see how those questions are worded.
We've covered this many times, the polls were not wrong. Hillary won the popular vote, which was predicted by the polls. The media is who pushed the narrative of the polls being wrong, because they were embarrassed that Trump won. It did cause the pollsters to take a hard look at their methodology, though, and I think it's made them better.

Trump won the Electoral College. Granted, he did some better there than was predicted because of turnout. Some of Hillary's voters didn't go to the polls.

Polls are a snapshot of what is going on at any particular time. Granted, if there are changes or developments, that can throw it all out the window. But we can't always predict those things, so we'll just have to deal with them if/when they happen.

The polls for the primaries have been dead on so far. There's a lot of negativity toward Trump I don't understand, it's almost like some conservatives want him to lose. Just remember what the alternative is.

It's only the beginning of March. Those polls mean basically nothing at this point

OK, seriously...this is just more of the media manipulation to feed the negativity toward Trump.

Pretty good article that tells the real story of what will decide this election. All I would change is; they used the RCP average in polls, and all the newer polls from these states show Trump with a pretty fair lead. There's a couple of other states that could even go Trump, but too soon to call.

The six swing states that will decide the US presidential race

Swing states and states who allow undocumented voters will decide the election, as well as other possible shenanigans.
