Electric vehicles....

This one is not looking long for this world. I also read that they just slashed prices on existing inventory to try and get some cash flow, but no way I would buy one when there probably won't be any future support there.

Starting to look like this company is just a mess. I read a review of their vehicle and they said it was just terrible! Rode poorly, the electronics were buggy, quality control issues, etc.

Looks like they are toast (along with any investment anyone had) NYSE is delisting as of 3 days ago:

We knew a few people who own Tesla vehicles who seem to really enjoy them. Owning an EV isn't appealing to me, at least not yet, but I'm sure eventually they'll get over many of the hurdles they currently face. I would consider one then.

I think Tesla is making a good vehicle, and they make sense for some applications. But I still wouldn't buy one right now. Prices and residual values are trending downward, and when BYD gets here, prices will get even lower.

And, I still say the future EVs will be much different than they are now.

I just can't imagine how any start up with a product that is 50+ thousand dollars gets off the ground. Who in their right mind pays that much for a product when you don't know if the company will make it or if the product is any good?

I don't like buying new models from known manufacturers for a year or so.

The greenies and people who want the "look at me, I have an EV" status (even though most of us don't care).

But yes, you're right. Some of the start-ups are going to fail, and the vehicles they sold will be hung out there with little or no warranty or support. And that means their value will be next to nothing.

All I can say is I bought a Windows phone. I loved the thing. My son was the one who proposed I get it because I use a laptop and preferred that over using my phone to look things up.

A few years later...
No support... because... there... are... no... more... Windows... phones!:tissue:

:tapfoot2:

No, I'm not bitter at all...:tissue: not at all... :tapfoot2::rofl:

Did I say:love1: I loved that phone?:tissue:

(I tried the app cptlo told me about to make my LG have tiles... it kept reverting back.) Probably user error ... I am not a nerd, sadly.

I'm sticking with ICE major manufacture... Toyota.;)
