I think we have to be careful about reports from Africa showing a low chance of serious disease. Many of the places there are tough living and I don't think they will have as many elderly and vulnerable people there as the western world does. It may be why it's looked like Africa is not getting hit as much from the other variants, all the people who are weak have already died off, so only the young and middle aged are reporting it, so not near as many "deadly" cases.
Time will tell.
I agree, we need to give this some time to see what it really is, and be cautious while we do. But that doesn't stop the media and the Dems from fear mongering.
My biggest point from the article was the recognition of natural immunity.
I heard an interesting fact on FOX this morning that surprised me a bit. Apparently, more people died from COVID in 2021 than 2020.
From listening to the media, I think one would get a different perspective. And frankly, I'm not sure what to make of this statistic.
One thing coming of it is Biden's own words biting him in the butt. He clearly stated in the debates that he would stop COVID if he became president. Now, most of us here probably knew that he couldn't magically stop a virus any more than Trump could; but nevertheless, he made a claim that he hasn't been able to back up and he's now lost support on the biggest issue he had going for him.
