Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

As long as the case count is dropping at 50% a week, I think the difference between .41 and .46 is likely rounding error. Esp with them guessing how many people have it and *didn't* take a test.

So far so good.

Yet more conflicting information.

I'm sorry, I don't trust a word from the CDC any longer.

Just like I don't believe or think the DOJ or FBI are worthy of the funding or the reputation they used to have as the good guys.

I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help.

One of our close friends was admitted to Paulding hospital last night for covid complications. She and her husband just got back from a trip to Portland two weeks ago and they both returned not feeling well. She gradually felt worse and was having trouble breathing so she finally decided to go to the ER where she tested positive.

.54 today. Still low numbers, but I want to see it go back down.

At some point I expect it to go back up and bounce around 1.00. That will be the point where there are so few cases in the state that every one that comes in from out of state will throw the numbers off.

According to the state, we peaked around Sept 1 at 7000 cases a day reported. Yesterday was under 1000 cases and the trend is still down.

Update on our friend: As of this morning she was still on a bipap breathing machine but her oxygen levels were up and she seemed to be feeling better today. I asked the husband how busy the hospital appeared to be and if he noticed available rooms. He said they didn't appear to be busy at all and it appeared that room vacancy wasn't a current issue. The thing that didn't make sense to me is that if his wife was diagnosed with and admitted for having Covid then why would they allow him to come and go from her room and the hospital as he pleases. I spoke with him about 8pm last night while he was on his way back up to see her one more time for the day and he mentioned that he had also left and returned earlier in the day. That made zero sense to me but I'm not a scientist, doctor, or hospital administrator.

Maybe he sees her from outside the room/window looking in?

Good to hear her oxygen is going in the right direction!

Update on our friend: Her husband said when he got to her room this morning she was sitting up and able to eat some. She is off the pap-machine and is being given warm forced air, whatever that means, and her oxygen levels stable at about 85%. We’re praying she continues to improve.

I carry this card everywhere I go.

(actually, mine has a blonde rather than the girl shown below .)

When asked for my 'proof of covid vaccination card', this is what I show.

..... and, yes. I'm completely serious.

I started coming down with something Monday night, by yesterday it had gradually got more apparent. Headache, neck and shoulder aches, chills, and a slight cough. I turned in early last night to get lots of rest and I’m drinking a ton of water. Still no fever and I do feel some better. Lungs seem to be clear but I can feel drainage and pressure in my throat. I have not been tested and I have not lost my sense of smell or taste. I’m hoping it’s just sinus related junk or a light case of the flu. Our DIL is scheduled to be induced tonight so their new baby should arrive by tomorrow. We are not allowed to go into the hospital anyway so hopefully whatever this is will pass by the time she and the baby are sent home.

Unfortunately I am now included in the current number, whatever it is. I started feeling bad Tuesday and decided to get tested today. I popped positive with a rapid test, the Queen was negative so they also gave her the 48hr test to to confirm. I’m hoping to get the call to get the antibody infusion tomorrow.
