Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

My dad’s neighbor passed away tonight from COVID complications. He was in his late 70’s, inactive and overweight with a history of serious health issues including stints, liver issues, and severe diabetes. He had been hospitalized for a few weeks without any visitors allowed but they let his wife be with him tonight as he passed. So sad.
 
The daughter of some friends of ours who is a nurse just came down with it and tested positive. Her husband is a detective with a cobb police department and is now trying to take care of their 5 and 1 year old while she quarantines.
 
I have another employee whose brother ended up positive. Her brother's work (YMCA) had them all test. He tested positive- no signs or symptoms.

She ate dinner together with him last Tuesday, he tested Wednesday, found out he was positive Thursday... I have been working double shifts to cover her shift, my shift... then the night auditor called in sick. :oops:

We have had a head cold going around the hotel too... when they test, it is negative, but it has the same symptoms as covid. I am hoping the night auditor has the head cold, and not Covid. He lives in a house with multi generations, and way too many people, so it could go either way.

I'm so over my job... I'm tired. Then I remind myself at least I get to work and earn a paycheck in Governor Newsom's failed economy.

Gotta go to work...glad to see the highway back up and working... :thumbsup:
 
We had a church member pass away due to Covid complications last night. As far as I know he had no other major health issues. We never did get a chance to go to Alabama with them to eat catfish at their favorite place.

Take the time to go eat the catfish.

We will have Dad and Mom in the Assisted Living as soon as we can get the results of the covid test they took Wed. We hope its soon, then we'll settle back down at home.

Our friends daughter the nurse is having a terrible time with it. The headaches have settled in.

Hmmm,,, Maybe you should quit doing what you're doing, and see if the numbers go down,,, then we'll know how to proceed.
