Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

Some of my Facebook friends are claiming COVID was "released" here to keep people from voting in person.

While I wouldn't put it past certain people, I would need to see some evidence of that to buy into it.
 
It's also saying it's been 1.35 and higher since Dec 24th!!!!!

They're changing historicals to suit some need,,, I give zero credence to these Rt numbers, they're no doubt bogus.

I disagree, been following them for awhile. What you're seeing is revisions as more data comes in.

My error... I thought I had refreshed the page... I did a refresh again and it is the numbers you show!

I know that CA numbers keep shifting...we had gotten down to 1.04 around January 2nd ... then a few days later the line on that day shifted up to 1.07 ... the numbers shift as the days go forward...
 
Look back at GD posts from the end of December until now... then look at the GA line... GA is showing it has been over 1.27 since December 18th... the whole line is substantially inflated from the line of last week.


These dates now show 1.38 Jan 5-7 on line.

I had to go to Wallyworld up here in Ellijay today and only about half the people were wearing masks. The hospitals up here are over capacity already. Erlanger was diverting over the weekend. Where the heck does Erlanger divert to, Knoxville?

Maybe they are diverting to Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital in Murphy, NC.
 
Great....someone in my office has tested positive. Fortunately for me, I haven't been in the office the same day as her for a while. Hopefully it doesn't spread further.
 
I just took my mom to a drive-thru testing facility; the result was thankfully 'negative'.

I'm on a jet tomorrow morning traveling to Charlotte for a 2 hour meeting.
It's a long time to wear a mask.
Outside of the military grade N95 masks, I'm not convinced that the masks do much of anything other than provide a false sense of security for some and a power trip for others.
 
In other news, New York's leftist governor (now that the election is over) thinks that their lockdowns are extreme and need to be lifted for the benefit of their economy.

If any further proof was needed of inane covid politics to convince anyone of their motivations, I don't know what it would be.

Cuomo has realized the lockdown was responsible for the significant drop in collected tax revenue, which is starting to create a deficit for the state. Not only that, but people are starting to revolt.
