The judge read through these quickly, but I think these are the possible charges that Zimmerman could be convicted of:

2nd Degree Murder
Manslaughter
Aggravated Assault
Possession of a firearm causing death
Justifiable use of deadly force

Not guilty - reasonable doubt

Would jail time be involved for those? :dunno
how can "justifiable use of deadly force" come with jail time?
How can it be a crime?

Hey people! I'm at work when I type these things, cut a girl some slack!! :Stick

These are possible verdicts that are in the jury charges. The charges were not objected to by either party so these will be the possible verdicts presented to the jury.

That's what my boss said too. ;D

It looks like the jury will get the case on Friday afternoon. I'm really hoping they return a quick verdict so we don't have to wait all weekend.

So given that the judge has favored the prosecution throughout does anyone really think she will rule out any of the potential lesser charges today?

So for lesser included we have manslaughter being allowed and now discussing 3rd degree felony murder.
Seriously? So basically anything to get a conviction? :dunno

I would think by adding more the jury would take that as, the judge does not think they will convict on 2nd degree murder, so let me give you another whole list of things you can convict on. Just my thoughts on this, though keep in mind I am not watching and could be way off base. What do you think?

3rd degree felony murder ... based on child abuse

::)

I just want to crawl through the computer screen to help Mr. West and Mr. O'Mara. Is the judge TRYING to make sure GZ gets a mistrial?!

I do still consider any teen a kid, but 17...child abuse? I had no idea that could even be put on the table at that age.
