I'm really torn on this case and it should be an interesting one to follow. I can't help but sympathize for the family who lost their son at such a young age but I can also see how homeowners are sick and tired of vandals and vagrants to the extent that they form neighborhood watch programs. I guess the question is whether or not lethal action was necessary and/or appropriate. To me it's not a racial issue but a question of how far one can go to protect their home, neighborhood, and financial investment within a gated community. My personally opinion is that it doesn't look good for Zimmerman, especially with an all female jury. The best he can hope for is a no decision or hung jury.
