Winter Storm Watch Issued

Def not looking good right now. I tell ya when we get it here... WE GET IT FULL FORCE! Glad my power lines are underground but the lines to the neighborhood are not. Not looking forward to no power.

My biggest fear is falling trees. I think we have everything we need to survive, but the life we love....back in the woods with huge, tall, mature trees....may make this a dangerous situation.

I'll be praying for all of you - my Hwy friends!

The more I read, the more freaked out I am getting. But, we need to know so we can prepare. I have to admit, I'm getting a bit nervous.
 
I really hope we don't lose power. That's what I am most concerned about. We are all electric. We have no generators and no firewood. And if the streets are bad, we won't be able to drive to anyone's house. I told my hubby that if we are without power he might have to go out in the backyard and cute us some firewood. :))

I'm pretty good on food and water. It's the not being able to make coffee that has me freaked out. I may just move in to the PD, like a vagrant, for a couple of days. I can make coffee, stay warm, keep my doggies with me and be surrounded by some handsome boys in blue. :love
 
I was being cautious just reading and watching but I am starting to get a little freaked out. My neighbor has a generator so I told her to be ready for us to come pile in at her house if we lose power lol. GD knows that me being stuck in the house with my hubby and son with no power will DRIVE ME CRAZY!!! The neighbor and I are planning on board games lol

Marc came home and had already planned it for me. Packing a bag tonight so all I'll have to do is pick up the dogs. The fire dept is in the same bldg, so there are beds, a full kitchen, showers and everything. Yay! It'll be like a big ole slumber party!!!
 
Well, this mess better hurry up and get here and get out. I'm debating whether I will take the princess into Atlanta with me tomorrow or work from home. I stayed at the office until 8:00 tonight just getting things ready just in case. The hubby brought the princess to me because he had a client dinner downtown tonight at Rathbun's.




I hate winter! :BH
