Well, by doing that, Obama made it a much bigger deal than it probably would have been had he kept his presidential nose out of it.
Some people see it as a bad thing, I think it's a good thing that the president invited him. I'm willing to bet plenty of presidents in the past have reached out to young people for one reason or another. Was it a political move? Probably. I mean we are talking about politicians. Just as the sudden need to vilify this kid is purely political.
There is no political "need to vilify this kid." People are looking at the facts and evidence.
The media held him up as a poster boy for Islamophobia, but could not be bothered to ask
very obvious and basic questions about his story. So far we are still hearing only one side...
