Not supporting or endorsing that lifestyle doesn't make you a homophobe. :girlsaysno Perhaps staying true to your beliefs and having a strong conviction to support those beliefs is vastly misunderstood.

Do what you want, I have no problem with it. I won't put you down or tell you you are wrong, but I can't support it. I have people I love that are homosexual, but that's their thing not mine.

No different than being Catholic and letting Jews follow their beliefs. It's their right to do what they want in their bedroom, but please can you just sort of keep it to yourself. It just works better for me that way.

What are you talking about? I am talking about KIDS in an article, voting for their friends, that just happen to be gay. They are not defining their friends by that, just voting for their friends.

Do you guys not see that an article like this where it is not bullying but something nice is a good thing? Would you rather I post one of those? There are far more of those articles than these. SMH

Not voting for that particular couple is not bullying.

Being gay in "in". It's fashionable, and there are powerful forces promoting homosexuality in this country. Most of this "virile" stuff you are seeing is simply kids following the fad of being gay. Kids don't always think with their heads, that's why they need adult leadership.

There was also a time when being pregnant in school as frowned upon. There was also a time when 13 year olds giving BJs in school was frowned upon. Those issues and this one too is part of the moral degradation that we're seeing in this country.

No, I don't think it's a good thing and I don't think it's great that the kids show tolerance for it. I am even more shocked that adults show tolerance for it.

I didn't say not voting for them was. I said that it was a nice article about KIDS and being gay that there was not bullying. Most articles on the internet are about gay kids and bullying.

You are shocked? Why?

Your language suggested that if kids didn't support this couple, they were bullying them. This is not the case.

I am shocked when adults who claim to follow a religious belief that says homosexuality is an abomination before God thinks things like this is a good thing. It seems that their is some conflict there.

Hey...you asked.

I think I made it pretty clear a few times that I thought it was nice to show an article with gay kids that were not being bullied.

I am shocked when adults who claim to follow a religious belief that says lying, divorcing, gossiping, sleeping around, and I could go on forever ....do and judge.

Again....this has nothing to do with bullying or not being bullied. Nothing!

And this issue is totally separate from the other ones you mentioned.

The term "bullying" is being vastly overused. Disagreeing with, or even refusing to support, is not even close to bullying.

AGAIN, IF I TYPE SLOW MAYBE YOU WILL GET IT....the only bullying mentioned is in OTHER ARTICLES, NOT THIS ONE. This one had NONE.

Good grief man, go chill out.

LOL. I'm very chill.

No, you mentioned bullying as the reason you posted this.

I mentioned that it was NOT about bullying where so many on the internet are. A few times.

I certainly don't support bullying. But this is not the opposite of bullying. To think this is a good thing, IMO, is to endorse it.

There is middle ground. Don't bully for it, but don't support it either. That's where I'm at.

I am all for not bullying. I do not believe thinking this is a good thing is anything other than thinking this is a good thing. Kids voted for other kids and did not care about anything but the kid. Simple to me. Seems as how it should be.

GD is right - if we would just cast these gay people out like lepers, that would teach them a lesson. Oh wait - Jesus ministered to the lepers. Maybe if we treated them like the woman at the well, that would teach the. Oops Jesus ministered to her too. Maybe if we nailed them to a cross like the thief that was next to Jesus... My bad....

And now you're being completely ridiculous.

Leprosy is a disease. Are you saying homosexuality is a disease? If not, then you should be careful with your comparisons.

And BTW...Jesus did indeed love sinners. But he didn't condone what they did.

I'm not the only one. Diva made a great point - what if we talked about divorced people the same way?

So now you're drawing a parallel between homosexuality and divorce? You'll have to 'splain that one

They are both considered a sin.

Oops, I'm not saying anyone shouldn't be ministered to. Good grief, standing firm in your beliefs doesn't mean you are denying anyone to Jesus. We are not Jesus, we aren't even a shadow of him, therefore to compare me or GD to him is a bit over the top. Anyone can be gay, let them have it but it's no different than that Jehovah's Witness that comes knocking at your door. Do you invite them in and listen to what they have to say?? Do you invite them to supper?? I have and I'm glad I did.

They are both considered a sin.

Actually, the Bible does give acceptable reasons for divorce, though many divorces don't meet those reasons.

Regardless, a divorced person can repent and be forgiven. So can a homosexual, but that means to stop doing what they've been doing.

With all due respect, folks.....

It seems that some of you don't know the difference between loving a person and ministering to them, and condoning their sin.

Well my divorce met that criteria............sadly. :(

Mine did as well (and it wasn't me that did it.....first, anyway)

But I've been married and faithful for 32 years since. And according to Lisa, I am comparable to a practicing homosexual because my ex wife dumped me for a druggie rock singer.
