Yeah, I am thinking of writing in LTD's name. )
On the up side, I think we have a couple of good choices for Post 3. I would have liked to hear Maxwell and Bond speak even though I'm not in their district.
This was only set up for Post commission races, not for state races. If we let Maxwell and Bond speak, we would have had to let everyone speak and sent them invitations. We may have an opportunity to do that at a later date.
I think they all did an awesome job, running for office is not an easy thing to do. It was only to introduce themselves to the public so people knew who they were. That was all it was.
I was impressed they took time out of their busy schedules to attend and talk to the voters.
I will say I'm glad I'm in Post 2 and will have an opportunity to vote for Todd Pownall. I'm also glad to hear where each of the candidates stand because if they sit on the BOC, they're votes do effect me.
BTW, this was a citizen effort, no group "sponsored" this event. Kerstin Liberty and I, put this together ourselves, paid for out of our pockets. None of the candidates, any arm of any party or the church was involved in with the planning or execution.
I appreciate the effort that you two put into it - it looked like it was a great opportunity for folks to meet the candidates. And, it was helpful to watch the video to learn a little about the candidates (even the ones that made me cringe at the thought of them actually serving in public office). I knew I wouldn't be able to attend so I didn't look at the details of the invite and just thought that since David Bond was planning to be there, that he would speak. No worries though - we have him here!

No worries though.
