Of course they will. It's probably their strategy to drag this entire process out until after the elections. They only have seven weeks to go, and they know they can count on the MSM to play on the public's sympathies. I'm thinking they had to play this card early which is why you have witnesses that don't recall, and a victim that doesn't fly and plans to drive cross country. The big question is, what else are they going to wheel out to drag the process out to November?
 
I predict she'll announce on Thursday morning that she isn't going to testify. She'll make a public statement, including obligatory crying, and ask for privacy going forward.

If you look at the calendar, it isn't impossible. Senate Judiciary Committee rules require consent of the minority for chairman to schedule a hearing with less than one week notice. That pushes the earliest hearing to Thursday the 27th, assuming that the last call still stands. The same applies to a call for a vote, and it is unlikely that such a call will be made prior to that hearing.That makes the earliest possible call for a vote to move out of committee October 5. The Dems will stall, stall, stall. Murkowski will flip, indeed she apparently already has. If they flip Collins too, that might end it. The Senate is out October 12 for Columbus Day, and recesses on October 29, meaning that another nominee will not be considered prior to the midterm elections, and if the Dems win the Senate, they will point out how the Republicans successfully stalled Obama's last attempted appointment.

It will come down to determination, shoving Kavanaugh down the Dem's throat prior to Oct 29th and hopefully getting one female RINO senator to go along, or counting on the VP vote to break the tie. That tie with the VP voting will possibly get them the seat, but they will likely lose seats in the midterms because of it. The Dems hold all the political cards here, but the Reps have the numbers to physically get it done, at least for now. The dems that might have voted for his confirmation now have an excuse not to, and they will not flip.

Have we heard much lately about de-classifying certain documents???
Perhaps this whole Ford vs Kavanaugh thing is to shift the MSM (and as a result public attention) away from the declassified documents...
Probably saving the @$$ of a couple of folks Trump is not ready to fire yet (like Jeff Sessions).

I can see Sessions going after the mid terms... however I can see it being better to not do it now.

I have read that she gave out frequent flyer miles back in the, but not yet from any sources that I trust to be credible. So we'll see.

This, aside from criminal history, is EXACTLY what they search for in a background investigation, because a real concern, especially for clearances, is a vulnerability for compromise via blackmail.

Am I to believe the FBI missed this stuff SIX TIMES??? Really... Gimmie a break.

The Republicans need to point the above out, then go ahead and vote to confirm.

They should cancel the hearing on Thursday and go ahead with a vote today. The Democrats are going to use this to pound Republicans regardless of the eventual outcome or truth so may as well get it over now.
