..... and nobody will be held accountable.
Most generals suck. They become political and will stab anyone they can in the back to move ahead. Milley is like that. While serving as Trump's Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff we saw he was not loyal to his commander-in-chief and took the side of Democrats. He's a political ass kisser like so many other generals we have seen in history and I have seen during my career. You guys know that I'm typically VERY supportive of the military, and I normally blame any screw-ups on politicians, because that's usually where they come from.
Regarding the Afghanistan mess, I'm hearing a lot of former military slamming some of the military brass, including but not limited to General Milley. Some of the stuff I'm hearing is that the military brass have sold out to the woke bunch and political correctness, and many feel that this has weakened the troops.
Not having served, I'm no expert on this, but it seems feasible that this wimpy new command could definitely damage the military overall.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley said Tuesday that he recommended the U.S. keep 2,500 troops in Afghanistan prior to the chaotic military withdrawal last month, appearing to contradict Biden’s statements that he received no such recommendation.
“I won't share my personal recommendation to the president, but I will give you my honest opinion and my honest opinion and view shaped my recommendation. And I recommended that we maintain 2,500 troops in Afghanistan,” Milley said in a hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee.
The comments appeared to contradict what the president told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos last month, saying he couldn’t “recall” any such recommendation.
