Several of you oppose the vaccine mandate for covid. How many of you oppose the mandatory vaccinations a child must have to attend public schools or be in day care?
Those shots have been around for ever and no problems. People are dying from the experimental shots that got approved
with no testing.

That’s as easy to answer as how many people have died from covid.

Question: Whose numbers does one believe?

Answer: The one which tickles your ears the most.

He's dead because he didn't get vaccinated. I'm still alive and was vaccinated.

I don't recall seeing you answer a question I asked earlier in this topic GD. Do you oppose the law that says children are required to receive vaccines in order to attend public schools and day care?

My two cents....

My understanding is that vaccine laws for children are set by states, not the federal govt. Most have exemptions for religious reasons and some have exemptions for philosophical objections. I'm OK with this but would not be OK with federal laws setting vaccine requirements because, with this scenario, people have the freedom to move to a different state if they want. Federal laws wouldn't allow that.

With that said, I would still be opposed to even state laws mandating COVID vaccines. Maybe in 5 years after no major negative issues, I'd be OK with state laws mandating COVID vaccines, but not now while the vaccines are so new and it is still unknown if they will cause any major issues in the future. As I've said before, I think the benefits of these current vaccines outweigh those risks and that everyone who hasn't had COVID should get vaccinated but it shouldn't be mandated by states....yet.

I think the shots for the over 55 set is prudent due to the virus being deadly due to the inflammation response that happens in older adults.

Children don't have that inflammation response. Kids who do get covid, have mild almost cold like symptoms.

Unless the child is morbidly obese, there have been few deaths. Which is very different than what happened with H1N1 or the usual seasonal flu that all ages die, not only the over 50 set.

I would NEVER vaccinate a child 18 and under for Covid at this point.

I will say I don't even think young adults 27 and under should get the vaccine. They will not have more than mild symptoms, and looks like Natural immunity is better that the vaccine.

On top of that they don't even know the right dosage for kids... it is going to be rushed and injure many children is my fear because of the politics, and money reward to the pharmaceutical companies.

The virus itself is no threat to 27 and under, but now vaxed teens are ending up hospitalized with heart problems that they may now have their whole life from this vaccine- it is just wrong.. Politicians have this WRONG!!!!!

We are now seeing the vaccine is not working due it being an unstable virus, unlike Polio or Measles which have not changed or developed variants. This virus will continue to morph, we will eventually have it like a cold I suspect... thanks China. No amount of boosters will stop it, but natural immunity from getting it might. I will propose we did this whole thing wrong. We needed the under 50's to all get it, vax the old people, hope they get a milder case ...and continue living. Sweden has taken that approach and has not had the recurring spikes of other countries.

Again, I know 2 people who were fully vaxed, in their early 20's, who have gotten Covid. One in San Diego, one in Hawaii.

MANDATES ARE WRONG!!!!!!!

The argument I keep hearing against a mandate is, "we have a right to decide what we want to be in our body." What difference does it really make if it's the state government or the federal government mandating immunizations for kids to attend public schools. Don't want to immunize your kids, homeschool them.

The federal government does mandate immunizations for overseas travel. When I was a kid and we were going to Okinawa, we had to get a bunch of shots. That wasn't a military mandate, that was a federal government mandate. My wife had to get certain immunizations before she could go to England on a mission trip with her church. That was a federal mandate.

I believe if their had been a vaccine created in a very short period of time during the Spanish Flu pandemic, everyone would have taken it no questions asked.

Interesting that we don't require children or most others to get the flu vaccine...

I support childhood vaccination. but it is ultimately a parent's decision.

The Covid vaccine looks like it's going to be at least a once a year jab,
and given the very low risk to children, I find it totally unnecessary.

The British government recently released a report that said the risks outweighed the rewards in young people.
It never made much news and was quickly overruled by bureaucrats :

I think part of the concern is that the first few vaccines were RNA based vaccines rather than your standard vaccines that have been used for years. I will say I had some concerns to begin with with something that invades my cells to have to produce proteins.

It doesn't help when Hollywood comes out with all these movies where Cancer Vaccines go wrong and turn everyone into zombies. (I am Legend?) That kind of crap makes people concerned about a fast produced RNA based vaccine.

I'm hoping that if the new vaccine that is a standard one will be approved and turn some people around.

Vaccine mandates to attend public school are on the state level and there are exemptions for some reasons. The vaccines used have been around for many years and are well tested. And, there are other school choices. Frankly, I'm still not crazy about them because I saw how sick one vaccination made my oldest granddaughter, but they might be for the greater good, as cold as that phrase sounds.

The federal government doesn't have this kind of authority over the states, especially when it's by executive order. The government is totally ignoring natural immunity, and they are taking these unprecedented steps at a time when the rate of COVID transmission is way down. So none of it makes sense if you think this is really about COVID.

This is about two things...money and also to try and change the narrative away from Afghanistan.

Back on doing this by executive order...surely you can see the danger in one man being able to force Americans to take an injection or "medication". While this vaccine is probably OK, this mandate is coming from the same man who is pushing booster shots when top officials at the FDA say it isn't needed in most cases. Dumb ole Joe probably doesn't intend any harm from this, but what if we had a president who did want to inject something into American's bodies that weakened us, made us dumber, turned men into Millies, etc. OK, that's a stretch, but not beyond the realm of possible. I'm just trying to make a point of what allowing one man (or woman) to have this much power could do. What if we did have a president who is actually a foreign agent who's job is to defeat us quietly? That's not as crazy as it might sound. I'm not so sure it hasn't already happened.

Don't try to say there are protections against this happening, because the FDA and CDC can be quite political when there's money on the line. The CDC is little more than a political arm now.

At last count, I think either 11 or 13 states so far plan to sue the Biden administration over this, and I hope they win. This is much larger than just a shot, it's about freedom and state's rights. Nibbling away at our Constitutional rights over a health crises is still nibbling away at our Constitutional rights. If they get away with this one, it will only open the door to more.

Lastly...if the government really wanted to get more people vaccinated, they would try to better educate people instead of passing mandates, threatening fines and sending goons door to door. The latter just polarizes people and solidifies the resistance to it. What the government needs to do is stop moving the goalposts and start telling the whole truth. And they need to publish information to dispel incorrect statements about the vaccine. People are not stupid, they see that the government is not telling the whole truth and it seems pretty clear that there are ulterior motives for pushing the vaccine. One red flag in particular is that they no longer recognize natural immunity. I'm told that in Europe where having to "show your papers" is more common, having natural immunity is accepted as an alternative to being vaccinated. Nut no, not here. Perhaps worst of all, the government is intentionally using the vaccine to further divide us. A lot of people see this, and it also causes push back. I, for one, don't trust anything that comes from this administration.
