Robert F. Kennedy Jr files to run for president

Third party candidates hardly ever run for lower office to establish a 3rd party. They always want to go for the GOLD right off the bat. If there were already Independent or libertarian or "No Labels" (stupidest group name I've ever heard by the way) senators, congressmen or even governors, they may have a chance. Kennedy won't win and I don't think he's so stupid not to realize it. Now if it were Biden (The Moth), I would think differently.

I don't know the ins and outs of it, but like him or not, Kennedy is a significant candidate in this race. Seems to me that he should get SS protection. And as J-Man mentioned, his family name should factor into that.

Don't get me wrong, I feel for the guy but I wonder if there is any standard which constitutes "Protection" by SS?

I read the NBC poll yesterday. Every other poll indicates just the opposite, and many Democrats have admitted that he is hurting Biden's chances. So I call BS on that one.

They also under-represent his poll numbers; he's probably more like 10-12%.

I've been watching the media; since it started looking like Trump was gonna win, they've been trying their best to change the public perception. I read one article that claimed Biden was leading in 10 polls, but those polls never showed up on sites like RCP. I wouldn't trust much of anything most of the MSM puts out right now.
 
This is the real story in the election, the battleground states. All going Trump except possible PA, it's pretty much a tie now. But that's partly due to an outlier poll, but I suspect Trump might have a very small lead there too.

But even without PA, the no toss up Electoral Map shows Trump winning with 293 EVs (23 more than needed).

Sure, it's still early, but we should be aware of the media trying to cook the books.
