Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

Boy, am I glad they backed off the quarantine crap.

No sooner than they announced it, one of my employees got a heads up on her phone she had been exposed.... 8 days earlier... luckily, she took a test and was negative, she called to say should I stay home? I gave her the new CDC guidelines which said she could be at work, just look for signs of sickness. She is now 12 days out and no covid.

Britain First to Approve Moderna's Variant-adapted COVID Vaccine

Why would anyone take this now? Between the lies about the first shots having no serious side effects, and covid becoming little more than a summer cold ... I would never take this one.

The illness is very mild now. The vax injuries are a lifetime and once you injure your heart muscle, it is a very dangerous problem. Most likely in men, however many women are vax injured too. I don't know that the truth will ever be known.

They claim it safe, but there are too many vax injuries out there, and that info took over a year to come to light due to dishonesty of the drug companies, government, and social media companies deleting peoples actual experiences denying them the ability to share side effects. The whole thing stinks.

I still have no plans to take it. As far as I know, I still have natural immunity, and I see no need to take any further risks.

But some people who are already vaxed might want the updated booster.

EVERYONE gets a VERY MILD case... vaxed, boosted... or NON-VAXED!

I can't believe I am the only one around who has the privilege of watching those vaxed and unvaxed, that the symptoms and time of recover are identical.

Not quite everyone.

COVID CASES USA 7-DAY AVG
103,738 AUG 14 2022

DEATHS 7-DAY AVG
486 AUG 14 2022
Correct, however convince me it is any different than a normal year where a virus goes around i.e. the flu.

Many immunocompromised get pneumonia or other complications and die, be they elderly or others with an underlying condition. Of those 486 for instance how many were over the age of say 85... or 90? How many of the 486 were quadruple vaxxed?. Not that we want our loved ones to die, but truthful information so that we can individually make medical decisions for ourselves or our children based on relevant statistics.

486 people out of 338,308,043 ... horrible for those families, but I am not convinced the "vaccine and boosters" have "made" covid cases milder for those who are QUDRUPLE VAXXED.

The virus is now mild for those who get covid be they immunized or not. Those who passed would probably have passed with or without the vaccine... Do you know they are still trying to get parents to vaccinate their kids under 5 years old in California?!!!!!!!

Color me skeptical, did the 486 die because of Covid, or with Covid? As in the person who had a motorcycle accident, but they said he had covid, so they said he died of covid when really his injuries from the biking accident killed him...but the hospitals got paid more for the care of a person who died testing positive for covid. This has become politicized, instead of truth based.

According to data collected by the CDC from 2010 to 2020, the agency estimates that the flu has caused 12,000 to 52,000 deaths annually. During that time, the flu also caused 9 million to 41 million illnesses and 140,000 to 710,000 hospitalizations. Globally, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that the flu kills 290,000 to 650,000 people per year.

I don't dispute much, or any, of what you're saying here, but to say that EVERYONE gets a mild case now is incorrect. There is no doubt that COVID is less of a concern now than it was a year ago due to much milder cases. But that doesn't mean that it still can't make you very sick and possibly end in death.

Speaking of Flu, I was at the Dr office today and they highly recommended getting the flu shot this year. With two years of very little flu, they expect that our bodies resistance will be much lower and the flu will be bad this winter.

I think two years of social distancing and mask wearing is gonna take a significant toll on our immune systems. And I've been saying that for some time.

As for the flu...will COVID immunity, whether from vaccine or previous infection, offer any protection from the flu? I've read some think it might, given how similar they are. Novavax initially said their vaccine would protect against the flu, but now I'm not hearing that.

Seeing as the Flu Vax itself only protects against some variants of the flu, I don't see covid immunity helping a lot, or the flu immunity would have kept the Covid from being as bad as it was.

About time. Maybe we'll have to tolerate less and less of it once it's out of the goobermint's arena. Let private companies deal with it and let people decide is it worth them paying for it.

Two different articles saying Paxlovid is not so good

Yeah, watching both Eff Joe Biden and the elder abuser, Jill Biden, get covid, then relapse I question why you would take it.

All the people I know about, who have had it in the past 2 months were well in 5 days, in fact the first 2 days were really the only days they had symptoms that were obvious, then it was a runny nose and sinus congestion for a few more days and it was over.
