Covid is right here, and it's getting bad fast.

This one is touchy, I'm not sure how to respond to it. It's apparently true that blacks and Hispanics are more at risk from COVID than whites, so the question is how much does race weigh in their criteria, and does race outweigh other risk factors?
I'm gonna withhold judgement for now.

The good thing I heard was those over 65, high BMI, Underlying conditions.
Ethnicity should not be a reason to withhold or give a medical treatment or anything else in our country.
In the new One World Marxist space that we find ourselves, most decisions now will be based on "equity."
I say that from the way currently California is pushing everything based on equity... nicer way to say it than what happened in another dark period of our history, the reverse -no coloreds allowed. Why are we back to looking at how much melanin we have in our bodies...?
And it is just like any other marxists plot, another way to pit one group against another, it is wrong.

One thing the vaxxed and the unvaxxed have in common....neither will ever be fully vaxxed.
The unvaxxed are limiting the profits of big pharma.

It doesn't matter whether you HAVE HAD the virus or you haven't. If you have been vaccinated but you GET the virus, you can still do EVERYTHING you want to do as soon as you test negative. You were as susceptible as anyone else, and you could transmit like anyone else -- but you pass, USELESS vaccination makes you 100% able to do what you like.
But if you are unvaccinated -- whether you get the virus or not -- you can't do a doggone thing.

I'm not so convinced the old vaccine (only one we have) is providing protection from the Delta, nor is it keeping people from dying of Delta. Watch what is happening in other countries too. Too many are getting sick anyway.
Would be better to have more tools for doctors to use once people get sick... like Ivermectin?
Really though, why have they not tried more medicines to help ease symptoms... Joe Rogan, Rodgers, Trump and others have made a fool of Fouchi getting over covid in mier days using alternative medicine and treatments.

Given the percentage of unvaccinated hospitalized or dead during the Delta surge compared to vaccinated, I think it's obvious that the vaccines helped.

There also have not been public service messages of what to do if you get covid. How to alleviate symptoms or help get healthy.
I hear all the time from friends who have doctors in their family that when they got covid they were told to take, zinc, vitamine D, C, and Quercetin, which is what's called a natural bioflavonoid. Quercetin opens up the cells in your body so that zinc can get inside your cells, where it works. So think of quercetin as the key. Think of zinc as the repairman.
Why do we not have that type of info given to the public... nope only get your shot or lock down in your house and avoid contact with people so you don't get covid. Nothing about how to fight it once you get it.
After fighting this crap almost two weeks now I do have a few thoughts on it:
#1 - You don’t want this crap. It is absolutely exhausting, and I have to say I was probably lucky to only get a mild to semi-serious case.
#2 - The headaches and grueling pain behind the eyeballs is straight from Hell, exactly where anyone involved in the development of the virus should spend eternity.
#3 - The nagging dry cough is a constant annoyance which leads to sore ribs and a sore throat.
#4 - I was fortunate to receive the antibodies and attribute that to my case not escalating into a more serious case.
#5 - And this may surprise some people, but I will be getting the first round of the shot as soon as my 90 days is up. The Queen and I both have discussed it and have determined it’s time for us to make the decision. Sure, we both still have concerns but they are offset by the risks of continuing to hold out. The Queen has already received her first round of Moderna, she had no issues.
#6 - It’s still a personal choice and I will continue to support whatever decision my friends and family make.
#7 - Turn off the news, disconnect from social media, get away from the noise.

I think you're supposed to wait a month or two after having WuFlu to get the shot. Might wanna check on that.

Probably. But nowhere near as much as they thought or implied.
The DirecTV guys that came yesterday told me about two family members, husband and wife. Both got fully vaccinated. Two months later, both got COVID, both were hospitalized, and both died. Yeah, they were older and probably had underlying health issues, but I'm hearing lots of stories of this type and they aren't all old folks. This apparently happened fairly recently. A fellow church member lost his 40 year old son to COVID. My friend that I recently posted about almost died because the doctor wouldn't continue to give her steroids to clear her lungs.
Meanwhile, are we hearing about people who have had COVID getting it again and more importantly, dying? Nope. The protection from prior infection is broad spectrum and protects even against the variants. The vaccines do fairly well against the original virus, but not very good against the variants. Reports from all over the world (except here) indicate this, so do the handful of doctors who don't blindly follow the CDC BS.
The doctor on Fox News yesterday said that between vaccines and the meds available now, no one who isn't very sick to start with should be dying from COVID. I think he's right, but from talking with some of my friends who have been hospitalized since I have, most doctors still don't have a clue how to treat COVID.
Our government is not trying very hard to end this nightmare, they are playing politics and using it to control people. The only drugs they approve are the ones that cost big bucks. Most medical personnel still don't know how to properly treat COVID, and the only info they are being fed is the CDC politically approved line of BS. And people are dying because politics is blocking knowledge and experience from being spread.
We are being lied to, we are being manipulated and controlled. Our government doesn't want to end COVID, it's the greatest thing that has ever happened to politicians. COVID is what has allowed Socialists to get in power and cause all the damage we've seen to our country.
This will only stop if/when The People get tired of it and push back.

It feels like the doctors have not been trained about which meds help or can be used. Or more probable is that that information is being flagged as "fake" and prevented from being shared by those who have had success treating their patients.
This is a "never waste a crisis" ...on steroids, that the dems live for.
Since this is an endemic, which will be with us like the flu, I see the current leaders continuing to gloom and doom convincing people that unless they listen to the government, they will die.
They did it with the recall for Newsom, their message was that if he had not locked you down, closed your business, shut the schools, and made sure to mandate people to mask, and take the jab... you would have died.
You would have died because there are those bad people out there trying to recall Newsom, who once in office, will take away masks and vaxx mandates, and your children will die at school, just as you will at work.
The lies about natural immunity being less effective than the jab is evidence the politicians are controlling the narrative. It is shameful.

That's still about half of the cases causing no future cases, so that's a good thing.
Raw numbers are showing GA now having 13 Cases per 100K people per week. That's pretty good. For us to stay at .5 for 4 more weeks, we would have to be down to 2 cases per 100K people. Dunno if that is going to happen.
Problem with this stat is that its' general, not specific. They are just looking at total case counts, not actual tracking. So if some visitors from a shutdown state come here and get it, then it throws off *our* numbers not the state they came from.
