What\'s for Dinner?

I need some new ideas. What is everyone having for dinner?

I just put a pork tenderloin rubbed with ground sage, garlic, salt, and pepper in the crockpot. It'll be served with a glaze made of: balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and brown sugar. It's to die for and I am not a fan of pork.

Also having either roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes, and roasted carrots and bread.

What's everyone else having?

(Tonight's leftover pork will be tomorrow's egg rolls. Nom nom nom)

We had grandbaby's first birthday party this weekend (Woot woot!) and my MIL made her famous homemade meatballs. We were the winners and brought home the leftovers, so we'll be having meatball subs. Yum!

(Actually, I may sneak home and have some for lunch, too. :))

I hate cooking. I really just want a pill to pop and it fills you up and no one is asking for food and making me go to the grocery store. Oh yeah, I hate grocery shopping too. ;D

I'm not sure what we are having for dinner tonight - we will pick the restaurant when I pick the princess up and get the hubby on the phone.

I'm sorry, HB. :(

I love to cook, and grocery shop. :D I'm just getting tired of the same ol' same ol'.

Yum, IF! I need a good meatball recipe.

I like that idea!!!

Oh good heavens above! I'm SUPPOSED to be thinking about THAT already?!?!?! Ain't nobody got time for that! :tapfoot2

Happy Monday! :BH

;D

I love cooking. I love how happy food makes me when something tastes great and I want to share that feeling. It is a true expression of love for me and my family. I've yet to find that in a restaurant. If we do, look out.

Red Beans and Rice, I love that meal.

:sick The last time I had that, I was pregnant with the princess. The princess immediately reminded me that I needed to stick with eating mashed potatoes.

Well I certainly hope we don't find out we're pregnant with a princess after dinner tonight. :laugh

I have chicken thawing in the fridge as we speak. Someone give me some easy ideas. I've never been good with chicken unless I put it on the grill...and we're out of propane right now. Help!

Creamy Carrot Ginger soup (from Skinnytaste) for a Meat free Monday. I always switch it up bit and add a sweet potato and some curcumin as well. It's a soup for what ails you and DH and I have been ailing for a few days. Fresh Mango for dessert.

Something light after my walk. So most likely some grilled chicken with a small side

This. This is how I feel. Of course there are days I don't feel like it and it's easier to open a jar of spaghetti sauce and toss some frozen meatballs on a bun for MrB, but usually it is a labor of love for me. :love I love keeping my family's bellies full and their hearts happy.

I've tried meatless Mondays here and it doesn't fly. LOL MrB is a meat and potatoes kinda guy.

Here's my favorite meatless go to: http://www.chow.com/recipes/28024-mushroom-and-chile-tacos#!

I like this best as a burrito; layer brown rice prepared Chipolte style, black beans, mushrooms, lettuce, cheese. OMG I love, love, love it. Of course these mushrooms could be eaten by themselves. LOL I don't add the pablano chile and I use red instead of white onion.

I made a spiral ham yesterday, so tonight is ham sandwiches with potato salad. Yummy!
