I doubt that. For one the apple doesn't fall far from tree. If his life was to be in danger as you suspect; we would be reading by now that he has died from a "heart attack" or something.

Kim has had the weight of the world lifted from his shoulders, it shows on his face.

The media does not know jack about North Korea, I'm reading information from experts.

That still doesn't make sense. If what you're saying were true; he'd be dead by now or killed before the summit.

he is North Korean military intelligence.

When he met with Pompeo in New York, it was a defection.

This isn't news.

I seriously hope this all works out but even if it does it won't remove the past actions Kim Jong-un has done. I get the fact that we, as a country, have to deal with bad people but I'm not ready to dismiss his past actions because he was a 'prisoner'. That just seems ludicrous to me.

The peace process is messy.

The end result is what matters.

Probably should watch this thing more closely and see how it plays out.
 
NOKO continues to do what NOKO has done for decades. Admittedly though, even though I knew better I had hopes for a surprising breakthrough. The timing is interesting though, the same general timeframe as when the China trade deal fell apart and the Iranian mess flares its ugly head again.

At one forum I belong to...

There is speculation the report noted is fake news...

Time will bring out the truth.

Opinion: The media (both sides, actually ALL sides) seem to be in a level of 'hyper drive' we have not seen in many years (perhaps decades)???
I wonder (hope) if this will settle down after a LONG and HOT summer...
If not... there is a good chance our country is gonna tear itself apart...

We really, IMO, need to get away from emotional interpretation of politics, and get back to taking literally everything we hear with a grain of salt, until it is verified with documentable facts.
However if we do that (get away from an emotionally driven sound-byte mentality)... IMO a significant minority of the media may go broke...
I wonder if that would really be a bad thing (the drama escalating side of the media going down... kinda like tabloids going out of business)???

Note: rumors suggest that CNN is on the edge of insolvency...
Wonder if someone/some-group is gonna prop them up... or they will fold???
 
The report of these executions may very well be fake news. We don't know and likely may not know for quite a while.

What is clear though is how much of a failure these talks have been to this point. I don't blame Trump for this...it's all on NK.
