Tonight\'s Candidate Forum

I'm more than a little irritated at some of the assumptions being made on taxes, etc. I don't think it's fair to say that Paulette is "skating" because of her position. Having survived an IRS audit, I know for a fact that those things can drag on a long time, and they don't just throw you in jail because you owe money. :BH

You just don't get it - there is no need to drop little hints, state he facts or keep it to yourself because it's nonsense like this that makes me NOT want to vote for people!

I agree. His best approach would have been not to say anything at all until he was sure he had all the information to put out there instead of little "hints."
Fox, ever listen to Jamie Dupree? He like many reporters give hints of something coming down the pipeline hours, days before the story breaks. That is what I just did. Taxes are owed and have been ignored. That should tell you a great deal of what I was told.
Yes, I occasionally listen to Dupree and am well aware of who he is. He however is a professional journalist working for a radio station that depends upon ratings in their competition with other stations.

Taking issue with the slamming of Gary Gulledge. He has a right to back anyone he chooses to back. He is a good man and his opinion counts as far as I am concerned. Leave him out of the conversation if you want to support someone fine but keep in mimd that others have that right too. Why is it OK to support someone who has tax issues and not allow that same right to others? :tapfoot2

Examiner deals with ratings too, Fox. He maybe a professional journalist but that doesn't knock off as some stupid amateur.

(While I do agree with the whole post, this is the "bingo" line.)

Dupree does it having the entire story ready, but gives the teasers to promote people to tune into his next broadcast. That's quite a bit different than releasing tidbits of hearsay while you wait for all the facts to come in. I'm not going to continue arguing this with you as it's pointless.

Easy people, calm down some. PCGOP was only passing on what info he could after people started beating him up for more info.

I saw the flyer also with the Sheriff backing Carruth and I didn't like it either. Some people will not vote for another candidate if they back someone they do not like, even if they are great people and the best for the job. That is just politics. And it would not be the first time someone gets blackballed for backing the wrong person around here. It can be career ending.

I've had my "experiences" with Carruth and none of them were good. Most were while he was Com. Chairman. And boy do I have a few stories of him at Chamber meetings. One where he extremely pissed off my wife and totally ignored his own mother.....who was sitting next to my wife. All i say is I hope the court system works!

Thanks, Winchester. That was one of my points and I have contacts who are in the know. I'm just waiting to get the details.
