Tonight\'s Candidate Forum

Okay, who was there? I got there right as it began, so I sat in the back. Ended up right behind Sheriff Gulledge. :laugh Then, I had to leave as soon as it was over to go pick up my daughter, so I didn't have time to visit.

How'd you think it went?

I couldn't go and really hated to miss it. I am hearing that Mr James called out Paulette on some issues dealing with the courts and her personal finances.

He went on a rant in his opening remarks. He actually called for her resignation and removal from the race.

However, later in the debate, he dropped it all completely and ended up agreeing with most of what she's done under the Gold Dome. Paulette did not address any of his comments.

Makes me suspect he may be a member of prom if he wanted to rehash all that stuff. It certainly demonstrated he lacks class.

If both he and Morrison agreed with most of what Paulette has done at the House, it certainly comes across as they have endorsed her accomplishments. Perhaps she should put in her campaign literature "During a candidate's forum at the Dallas Theater, both my opponents endorsed my accomplishments in the State House." :laugh

Endorsed her accomplishments or are afraid to say they don't? That is the question. Her record is not that bad. I disagreed with some parts of the new tax Bill and she stood in support of it. It is not enough to call her record into question from where I stand.

I wasn't able to make it - I'm working late all week. Did anyone ask Paulette to address the status of litigation against her (and did she respond or just ignore the question)?

From what I understand she remained silent on the subject.

No, no one asked her. Mr. James mentioned it during his opening remarks. The questions were not personal in nature. that's not how the forum was structured.

I just read what was put on the other site about the litigation - that information is accurate. Paulette is currently in a position where if she doesn't pay as she was ordered, the judge could order her to jail. (Her former attorney has paid his portion of the contempt, it's just up to the Braddocks to pay what they owe).

I have to say that I'm astounded that neither Paulette nor Carruth seem to take federal litigation very seriously. If they're so willing to ignore the Courts, are they really listening to us?

Do you have access to the documents? I'd really like to see them.

They're on PACER - do you have a login and password? If not, send me a PM with your email address.

I don't care for websites of this type - if you're going to call someone out, I think you should be man (or woman) enough to put your name behind it. Just my personal opinion...

I think it is rather low. I am wondering who is really putting out all of the robo calls too. Funny they are all misquotes or not quite accurate. I think if a candidate is doing that and he/she is smart they make sure the calls are going to have the effect they want. Why do the ones I am getting set my radar off?

My opinion...Paulette won hands down. Michael became a jerk after he went hell-bent on Paulette, which was DUMB!!!!!!!...and then practically agreed with her on all of her responses. Go figure on that one.

Melissa, well she seems nice but was a bit lost on many of the questions and felt like she just went along for the ride. So if I had to chose (which I can't vote in the 19th district anyway)....1, 2, 3.....it would be Paulette, then Melissa and then Michael.

Paulette did a very good job her first 2 years no matter what anyone says.

No questions were asked about her issues which are just that, her issues with her business/company and she isn't the first and won't be the last, especially in this Obama economy. When Mike went off on a jerk rage, the audience was not amused as the reaction was unreal. Paulette stood professionally and took it all and went about the business of the debate. Mike knew he screwed up and it showed.

Stop reading from the useless liberal dribble. Some of those people absolutely hate her and they do it for personal gain and agendas. I know most of what is going on with her business issues. Those morons know nothing but hearsay.
