SHE gave birth to a baby boy. WOMEN have been doing that forever. SHE stopped the hormone treatments so that SHE could have a healthy boy child.
OK, they took in a relatives kids. Families do that all. of. the. time. You see to me this is a non story because a WOMAN had a healthy baby boy. That fact that she likes to think she is a male just doesn't mean anything to me. I'm glad that she found a MALE who happens to be a MALE who thinks he is a Woman. But they both obviously have the same sexual desires as any normal heterosexual person.

So many people today, especially on the left and concentrated on the younger generations, confuse freedom with approval. They are not the same. That is the core of the in your face "hey look at me I'm not like you and you must accept me" movement.

You are free to do as you wish as long as you don't infringe upon the freedom of others. I am not required to approve of your choices. Whatever social or economic consequences your choices have are yours to bear. Requiring my approval is an infringement on my rights to free thought and association.

Boys can love boys, girls can love girls, boys can feel like girls and vice versa. Just don't expect me to applaud.

LTD I can agree that you do not have to approve or applaud, I just have a hard time with people making fun of, voicing hurtful opinions, and being downright mean and disrespectful of something people feel and believe that they are. Many times it is those same people screaming to be loving and nice and Christian like, and that is where you get so much animosity between groups of people. Accepting that people are different and have different beliefs really should not be so impossible. No one has to approve or applaud anything, but the accepting that people have been different since the beginning of time and not be hateful to someone that is not the same does not, at least to me, seem such a stretch. :dunno: In the last few years it seems like the hateful comments and name calling has reached an all time high between all groups that have differing thoughts, opinions, beliefs, ..... it just seems like there is so much discord in the world it is very sad.
 
Saw a bumper sticker about getting common sense back in our country. I told my son "it depends on the person/group/party/movement and their definition of common sense.

I haven't seen anyone hating on transgenders here. All we're saying is that they can do whatever they want, but this recent movement to give them all kinds of special rights is actually, as LTD mentioned, treading on others' rights. I don't care what they do with their bodies and who or what they want to be; but people with wieners need to go to the men's room and people with vajayjay's need to go the the ladies room. And if the military says they don't want transgenders, I say let the military make that call. And no, my tax dollars shouldn't pay for their aftermarket equipment.

This whole movement has actually hurt transgenders. Before, most of us just kinda ignored them and let them do their own thing. Now that they have pushed, with the help of the Democratic Party I might add; we are pushing back.

Do you not see that this whole mess is ALL about politics? Democrats could care less about transgenders or gay people or abortions; these things are nothing but a tool for them to control their voters through emotion. While I am an emotional and compassionate guy; I will let logic dictate on these matters.

I did not say here, though I beg to differ on your opinion of that, and I have no issue with not paying for anything. I said acceptance of differences, not approval or treading on anyone's rights. We are all different, always have been, and I do not understand why people are not accepting of that fact.
Furthermore my comment was more than transgenders, it transcends all aspects of the world at this time.(My last sentence above) Christians verses not, gay verses straight, democrats verses republicans, and the list continues. Everyone blames everyone else for every single thing and no one is willing to bend on there stance or give an inch. Both sides of everything have become ridiculous and to the point they are being petty over things that do not even matter. I am just tired of the name calling and hate that seems to have seeped into every interaction and issue that occurs.

You shouldn't have to "bend" for me to exercise my human rights. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Agreeing to disagree and going about our personal business is all that is required, and certainly as you suggest it doesn't need animosity. When you demand compromise you are demanding that someone bend to your will, and that is not something that is owed. That can lead to the animosity and pure meanness you are speaking of.
 
I'm all for these people who are confused about their gender getting surgery to correct the situation. A lobotomy.
