Is there anywhere in unincorporated Paulding that doesn't already have a grocery store that could really support a new one?

Union, Yorkville............you know, our neck of the woods. :D

Population counts are not high enough for a big name store to build in those areas.....yet.

Population and demographic and buying habits. I'm guessing the next spurt of growth in Paulding will be along 61N coming down from the Bartow line.

Not until the economy improves greatly or there are a lot of new jobs created in that area...IE: large office/inductrial parks. It will be 10 to 15 years before we see any real development in that area. Hiram and around the Paulding Airport is where all the attention is going right now.

The Emerson Sports Complex and Bass Pro Shop will bring lots of jobs to this area.

That was precisely my reasoning for saying that. That is going to be HUGE. We're talking multiple hotels, etc., as well as the baseball fields, and Bass Pro Shop. And if Bass Pro Shop is there, look for smaller merchants to want to be close by as well.

But that's a 10 to 20 year project. It will open in stages, small stages. Granted it will help Cartersville and Emerson, but don't expect to see much in Paulding. There's a lot of undeveloped land between the Burnt Hickory area and Emerson, not to mention that Cousins already owns 2500 acres off Dabbs Bridge Rd close to where the I-75 Interchange will be.
