Paula Deen fired from Food Network

Rev. Jesse Jackson says he's agreed to help celebrity chef Paula Deen try to make amends for her past use of a racial slur, saying she shouldn't become a "sacrificial lamb" over the issue of racial intolerance. http://on.11alive.com/14wi9px

Jackson said yesterday that Deen called him this week, and they discussed how she might recover.

Any thoughts?

Recover from what? :laugh

I wonder if Andrew Young went to the Jesse Jackson 'Center For Overcoming Your Racist Views Seminar' to seek recovery from his "Smart Ass White Boy" statement :laugh

I have been reading Huff Po for a very long time, as they are one of the largest aggregators on the net,
and I like to keep tabs on the great unwashed leftist media. The Food section is one of my favorites to
browse and there has been a genuine hatred of Paula Deen for years. For some odd reason, this woman
with her "hey y'all" personality and fattening recipes, always provokes thousands of vile nasty comments.

I do not know much about the actual specifics of this lawsuit , but this thing looks like a modern public lynching.
The biased saturation coverage of this story by the networks is beyond ridiculous. She is being unfairly persecuted :

I wish her fans would break sales records buying direct from her through a website and show the distributors they're just that, a distributor, an avenue through which items CAN be traded but not through which they MUST be traded. They're not the talent behind the product or service. Come to think of it the Queen would probably appreciate a current cookbook.

Her cookbook has "skyrocketed" to number 1 on Amazon. Apparently while her sponsors are dropping or suspending her, her fans are really stepping up and showing their support. And though those big sponsors aren't likely to feel too big of a pinch from the lack of those sales I don't think Paula's going to be hurting anytime soon.

Agree that it won't hurt them but at least they won't get a piece of the pie. By the way I received a very ugly email earlier referring to her and pie but I dare not share here. It was too ugly even for me, but I have to admit I did laugh at it.

They are up to almost 500,000 "likes" on the We Support Paula Deen facebook page. They are saying the same about buying directly from her.
Thanks for not sharing your email. :))

You can buy her cookware, etc directly from her website: www.pauladeen.com She doesn't really need Walmart.

I already have several of her cookbooks, but I guess could go buy one of the boys' cookbooks. :))

QVC and Paula Deen sent out a joint email that she was "taking a break" from QVC while she attends to personal and professional affairs.
