Yes, PETA was once classified as a Terrorist organization by the USDA, although I believe they have been removed from that particular list, and is suspected by the FBI of carrying out several terroristic threats in the past as well as physically assaulting several people. Of greatest concern is their supposed financial connection to the Animal Liberation Front, an organization which has in fact carried out several bombings and break-ins of private and government property. Ingred Newkirk was found to be in possession of a video of the ALF break-in at Michigan State university
