He was using algorithms in his gambling as well... endless nights of video poker.

From what I understand... when he was not eating or sleeping, he was gambling for hours on end.

He reportedly won over $5million dollars in 2015...

From what I have heard he was quite bright. It would make sense for him to focus on the academic calculations, based on what has been said about him. In reality, I think spraying a crowd with bullets would not take any calculation to kill mass amounts of people in a crowd of 22,000 -no high IQ necessary. Very puzzling. Sick SOB.

It didn't take a great marksman to kill that many people firing into a crowd like that.

More is coming out about him. He wasn't the happy-go-lucky rich bachelor his brother made him out to be, and this wasn't some sudden "break".

The FBI profiler said that he was planning this for years and his motivation was internal...

Some of the testimony centered on his gambling.
He described himself as being, at one point, the "biggest video poker player in the world."
"How do I know that?" Paddock asked rhetorically. "Because I know some of the video poker players that play big. Nobody played as much and as long as I did."
At the height of his play in 2006, he testified, "I averaged 14 hours a day, 365 days a year."
"I'll gamble all night," he said. "I sleep during the day."
Asked if he ever visited the hotel pool, Paddock replied, "I do not do sun."

She's made a few statements of recent that surprised me. She's still pretty liberal, but I have to say that she seems to be straight up and not as much of a partisan mouthpiece as most of them are.

Now they are saying the security guard was shot 6 minutes before Paddock starting shooting out the windows. Previously it was thought Paddock stopped shooting because the security guard interrupted him and that's when Paddock shot the guard. Now the question is why did Paddock stop shooting out the window? It was still a long time before cops got there.

Something is just not right about this.

I'm not making assumptions just yet, but it's smelling worse as time goes on.

The reasons are unlimited. One one hand it's definitely suspicious but on the other I can't really blame the guy for wanting to stay out of the public eye over such a horrible event. I'm assuming LE had already spoke with him and confirmed his story.

I agree. I could come up with numerous reasons for his departure/disappearance both good and bad.
