How low will Trump go?

Trump is hell bound to win, even if it hurts the GOP. He's afraid of DeSantis running. Trump now has accused DeSantis of being a pedophile. Remember, Trump made personal attacks against all the Republican candidates running against him for the nomination in 2016. How will he attack Nikki Haley?

BTW it could be said Trump is a closeted transvestite because he uses a powder bronzer that women use. He never goes out without it on.

It boils down to some people will vote for Trump and others will vote for DeSantis. Some will waste their votes elsewhere. As much of a case as anyone can make for (or against) DeSantis the same can be made for (or against) Trump. Everyone has their own interpretation and opinion. We still live in America and we can express them...publicly. There will eventually be only one winner in the Primary, that winner will get my vote in the General. I can only pray others do likewise.

I can't in good conscience vote for somebody who lies to win an election. If a candidate does that, he will have no problem lying to us.

Trump is a street brawler.

So far DeSantis has not taken the bait. Trump wants to find their weak spot. For most men it is their wife. I bet Trump tried the pedophile thing because DeSantis obviously is protecting the children of Florida... so Trump is hoping DeSantis will be so pissed that he will lash out at Trump... then Trump wins.

Trump wants to get them in the mud with him. Thus far DeSantis has been smart and ignored it.

Remember how Marco Rubio got drug into the brawl about little Marco...? then they were comparing penis size... Trump won once Rubio took the bait.

I hate to break this to you but all politicians lie. Every single one.
I'm well aware of that. Trump is doing the same mudslinging crap we condemn Democrats for. Yet, some of those are willing to give Trump a pass on it. I don't get it.

It’s apparently not for you to get. Some of us were more than happy with his first four years of service as POTUS. With no prior political experience he turned our (your) country around in short order. I see no reason not to expect him to do the same again. I wish he was a perfect man and that he didn’t hurt people’s feelings with his words and tweets but I’ll gladly take it if he again rights the ship.

Of course we could all continue voting for another “yes man” (or woman) who says anything we want to hear (and says it in a way which doesn’t hurt our little feelings) to get elected then do just the opposite.

Are you suggesting that Trump is the only option for not getting "another yes man (or woman)"? If so, I'm curious why people like DeSantis and/or Haley fit into that category.

Absolutely not, but he is the only one in the pool of candidates who has proven that he’s not in that category. Voting for any other candidate does include some level of risk of exactly that outcome.

Here's the rub,, I don't think he's doing it to fix the country again, as much as it is to get revenge on the republicans who didn't move in lock step to save him from P-Losey's assault on his presidency and the theft of his second term. At this point he is as deranged as Biden, and I really don't think he will be the same person for a second term.

I said the same thing a while back. His motivation is to run so he can get his revenge. He was divisive the last time he was POTUS. If elected again, he will not only divide conservatives and liberals further, he will divide the GOP, which will only the Democrats stronger.

Where are all these policies DJT made that give him any credibility as a leader? They were all swept away with the touch of a pen just like they were implemented. DJT lead the country like a dictator using executive privilege to get things done. By not following the Constitution regardless of how frustrating a fight with congress can be his policies were castles in the sand. When the tide changed they were swept away. I think Congress is a mess full of back room deals and corruption but until some one rewrites the Constitution there are still three branches of government and to make a program stick you must follow the rules. DJT is too self absorbed and arrogant to ever play the game for permanent policy changes. Do I like the game? No, but never the less that is how you get things done under our form of government. I have no doubt if he could he would be a tyrant and dictator. I really don't want a dictator.

I digress. Making a positive remark regarding Trump here brings the wrath equal to or even more severe than the MSM.

I’ll just sit back and observe then listen to the excuses.

I'll give him credit for his supreme Court appointments and to him and the GOP Congress for finally getting them approved. I have to say that the "Trump Tax Cuts" were a mixed bag where most everything good expires next year except the Corporate Tax. Expect both sides to blame the other for no extension of the cuts and our taxes going up next year. So it will end up being a short lived "Achievement"

He could not get the GOP to band together and get rid of the ACA or much of anything else important.

As mentioned above, everything done by executive order was wiped out the first week Biden got into office. AND his use of executive orders made it that much more accepted for Biden to start using Executive Orders to further his agenda. I still consider expanded power of Executive Orders a major threat to the Republic.

As the ACA shows, the ONLY way to get change that is difficult to remove is to get bills through Congress. And on that note, Trump failed for everything but the tax cuts and that only passed because GOP members wanted to have something to show for their 2 years of total control. And they expire next year.

I realize a many of his attacks are his attempts to get free advertising for his campaign. It worked well the first time as he attacked Hillary, but she was unlikable anyway. Attacking fellow GOP just to get points is getting old.

Depending on who is running, I'll likely do as the last couple of times and vote in the Primary for who I feel will be best for the country, it might even be Trump if the rest all have more issues that him, but doubtful. If Trump wins the nomination, I'll likely vote for him as I don't think we can stand another 4 years of this idiocy without severe damage. But I fear that him as candidate means another 4 years of Liberal control.

I think all of us here can agree that Trump runs his mouth too much, doesn't know when to shut up. And yeah, it might be time for him to step aside and help a new leader turn this mess around.

But I do find it interesting how quickly some have forgotten just how great this country was running while he was president before COVID hit, all the problems he fixed, and the changes he made even now is slowing down the left's move to Socialism.

The economy was on fire, people were working like never before. He had excess regulation at bay and manufacturing was starting to return home. The boarder was under control and the wall was under construction. We were at peace and our enemies didn't dare screw with us. We were the largest producer of oil in the world and a net exporter of energy. Pump prices were under $2 in many areas. Socialism was on the run; Trump made it clear that we would not become a Socialist country under his watch. His greatest contribution was probably in the appointment of judges, including and especially on the Supreme Court. That alone has set the Socialist Democrat's plans back for years, and probably the only reason we still have to follow the Constitution today.

Regardless of how COVID came to be, it was absolutely used to overthrow our government and change who leads us. COVID was the perfect weapon for the Democrats to seize power, take control of masses of people, and convince us that we had to be sheeple who do everything government tells us. And yes, their cleaver use of COVID likely threw the election. Mail-in ballots alone likely got Biden elected. And let us not forget the massive campaign of lies that the Democrats and their allies in the media and Justice Department perpetrated. Yes, Trump did his share of damage there too, but I completely believe he would still be president had rampant ballot harvesting not been done. Had Trump been reelected, I think this country would be very different today. The border would still be under control, our enemies would not be so emboldened, we would likely still be energy independent, and the economy would have recovered much better. We'd have even more good judges on the bench and our armed forces would be much stronger than they are now under this woke leadership

I realize most of us are angry over where this country has gone, but perhaps much of our anger is directed at the wrong places. We need to be angry at who did this to us, and direct our efforts at taking our country back.

I don't think most people have forgotten that. I certainly haven't, but that doesn't mean Trump should get a pass going forward.

taking our country back

Exactly. That means winning the presidency which, at the current time, will be harder to do with Trump than it would be with someone else.

The fact remains he divided the GOP, and that's the reason many of his achievements are gone because he divided the GOP resulting in the inability to make those achievements into law. So, really the only good thing he did that is still with us is to maintain a conservative Supreme Court.

My anger is appropriately directed at Trump. Look at how this idiot comes out and brags about himself being the greatest president in our nation's history. What a joke. Many thought Obama was a narcissist, but Trump has him beat, hands down. Pay close attention to what Trump is saying and doing now. He's still stuck on how the Dems cheated to prevent him from being re-elected. Trump is not a good leader. In fact, he's far from that.

Remember... all the lies about Trump... and the two impeachments that were all based on lies... that same smear will be done to the next Republican President if there ever is one.

The socialist/Marxists will do the same to DeSantis or any others who might run and win the Presidency.

The same corrupt DOJ, FBI, CIA and all the other forces that went against Trump are still very alive and well... Trump weathered them... sort of. I think we will see him going to prison in the next 8 months.

With the way ballot harvesting is so advantageous for democrats it might not even matter who runs on the GOP side anyway. I'm not so sure the next Presidential election will be fairly run with the dems in power now.

I should have added the MSM and social media hurts the chance of the GOP winning the Presidency regardless of who runs.

The only change has been with Twitter now owned by Musk...

Some of the curtain has been pulled back as to what the Wizard of OZ (Socialists/Marxists) were up to, and how Twitter was being told by the government to suppress news that would hurt the Dems in addition to banning anyone expressing conservative thoughts or showing information counter to the progressive/socialist/Marxist agenda.
