Based upon the premise of what Harry Reid started, I'm all for the response of him having to deny the rumors. Two can play that game.

It's not really a game when you accuse a Presidential candidate of inappropriate behavior with no basis, just rumor. Harry Reid is only a Senator, if anyone had said that about Obama the roof would fall in. Wait, they'd probably meet an unfortunate demise if they could prove it. :hiya

Y'all really make it tough to explain to the princess why when one of her little friend's makes a dumb comment, that it's not okay for her to make an even dumber one...
:cantbelievemyeyes :cantbelievemyeyes :cantbelievemyeyes :cantbelievemyeyes

I think it's a great lesson in teaching them to trust only a few. There is a difference in making a dumb comment and accusing one of breaking the law. Harry Reid's comment wasn't dumb, it was well thought out.

No, it makes it hard for me to tell her that it's not okay for her to make wild accusations just because someone else did, especially when it's an adult. Unfortunately, I can't even call this kind of conduct childish because my 6 year old knows better...

:CLAP

I was coming back to read the articles, but saw some of these comments and I am really shocked. I can not believe any of you, especially from "knowing" you, think it is okay to call someone that. Name calling of that nature is not getting what you give. That is what children do and we tell them two wrongs do not make a right, yet this is okay? SMH are the hypocritical reasons I am reading. His behavior warrants it? :faint Seriously? Not paying taxes, even calling someone a thief, warrants being labeled a pedophile?

I feel like I am in the twilight zone with some of this. (I do often with politics, but this is just so wrong. How vile is that accusation? ? ? ) I am NOT defending him. He can be a jerk, a moron, dense as the day is long, but I do not get this and I do understand the absurd against absurd that you mentioned GC, but I think this crosses a line with what the accusation is.

Wrong or not, being called a thief, tax evader, even a murderer is different than a pedophile. I believe GC can attest to the fact that even prisoners believe that.

I see Harry Reid's comment did exactly what it was meant to do. :thumbsup

Did the retaliatory comment do exactly what it was supposed to do, too? :dunno

That was? (I thought his comment was about a presidential candidate)

Well and his latest about the sequester causing the death of soldiers. While we try to instill the right values in our children and do the right things, vile humans such a Harry Reid continue to spew lies and hate. Americans do one several things, ignore it, realize it's vile and disgusting or think he's right. He's a member of Congress, what he says is broadcast across the world. Our children hear it, even if we don't want them to.

Yea, I understand about compromising our values, but damnit, it's about time we realize the orchestrated lies of the left and the MSM have a bigger impact on our offspring than we want to admit. This is not about who's right and who's wrong, this is about a deliberate attempt by the left to gain sympathy based on lies and innuendos.

The whole message is not that Reid is a Pederast but rather people shouldn't say something that is vile and disgusting, not to mention a lie. I don't believe for one minute Reid is guilty of being a Pederast. But I also don't believe for one minute sequestration is responsible for the deaths of those marines either.

At least Honeybunny has succeeded in initiating a good discussion. :thumbsup Unfortunately we're looking at the words and not the purpose.

I do see what you are saying NG. The problem I have is that as much as people do hear what he said, they hear what we said too. They are hearing the words and I do believe when people hear that they think along the lines of the conservative religious republicans spewing that sort of thing and just makes us look as asinine as Reid and his latest moronic statement. To me, we (collectively) are just as wrong in doing that. :dunno

Probably so, but what we have been doing ain't working, got any other suggestions?? Again, it's not about the words.

Vile is playing partisan politics on the backs of dead American Marines.

Marines who died in a training exercise due to a defective mortar shell.

Harry Reid shall reap what he has sown and deserves the scorn of ridicule.

The families of those dead marines deserve an apology, and the American people
deserve to know about the illegal actions and depraved indifference of the Senator.

Politics is a bloodsport and the agents of karma will hold that mirror up to his face.

I don't. :( But I do not see this as an answer.

In the big picture, who is paying attention to Reid being labeled a pedophile? No one. They think it's a big joke. It was originally said to be absurd! (Months ago, I might add.)

HOWEVER! Folks are buying what Reid is selling, and that is vile and harmful to our country, our future and our children.

They do deserve an apology. What he said was wrong. Maybe, if you believe in karma, you are right. (Does that also work back to the people that are saying these vile things? I do not know.) He does deserve scorn and ridicule based on what he has said, not made up to make him seem more vile. He has done that to himself.

I actually had never heard it until HB posted it! I really did not know if this was something someone found out. :dunno (In this day, one never knows)
Are they buying it? I do not know if that is a fact or not.

Fine, SD. Where is the outrage against Reid? Who's calling out his blatant lies? Who? Who's demanding his apology for what he has said? This week and in the past? NO ONE IN THE MAINSTREAM!

Fine what? I can not change what it is. I read the news snippet and immediately thought what an idiot, I can not make the main stream news think or say that. Someone should call him on it, but calling him a name does what exactly?

The words of those closest to the princess have the biggest impact on her. I can control what she hears and sees from the media and politicians, that's a simple click of the channel - it's the comments from those around her that I can't always control so it's important to me that my family and friends understand that their words and actions have a direct impact on my daughter.

Nope, this story is being blacklisted by the mainstream media.

The entire point of the "pederast" campaign was to get the media to take notice
of his outrageous and offensive conduct. His own staffers have scrubbed any
mention of these remarks from video and transcripts. Contrast that with the
media celebrating the false allegations against Romney and you see the point.

Fire must be fought with fire, lest we lay down and surrender to their control.
