Greetings from St Thomas

I don't know if this is true or not but I did hear that we would be graced with the presence of the "OGD" group (also known as "Occupy Guard Dad's) group. I hear they are bringing tents and everything and they plan on staying as long as needed. :)

Well, that's why THEY are OGD. I didn't even think about tents!

I received an email from the OGD group telling me to expect at least 100 of them. They invited some of their friends from other nearby occupy groups. They also told me they want to occupy SD's place the next time she goes on vacation.

Fox, they probably want you to bring the tents. I bet you can get some good ones! We could stay a LONG time!

I contacted one of the National Guard units and invited them and they agreed to bring all their tents. They're huge. Their also bringing a Bradley and a Humvee to give kids rides in around GD's property.

Sorry I'm late this morning, but I had to stop by my house and shower and get ready for work. I just got another call the port-a-potty place - they can bring new potties, but they're going to charge GD extra for each building they have to retrieve from the trees. He suggested that we not put fireworks in them in the future if we don't want the see s!*t fly in the future. I did tell him that I would forward the video from the "lift off" to him - he said if the video is as funny as I said it was, he will give us a discount for the new units.

Also, that chick from Fox5 called AGAIN. Apparently, we are now considered a cult and she wants to do an investigative report on the inner workings of our little community. She's bringing a camera crew out to do some interviews and walk around the place today - I hope one of y'all can meet her there. Be sure to show her our potties in the trees and let me know if I need to forward her the video.

Considering the events of last night, we should not longer allow kids in the compound. However, men in uniform are always welcome!!

you guys have quite an imagination :laugh love it

You don't remember last night? Oh my. We may need to calm down a bit tonight. I'm thinking we won't need the tanker keg until Saturday.

I can't meet anybody until I shower. And the line to the house is LONG! The septic guys said we'd have to wait 24 hours before we had them come and pump again.

Just have them run the line directly to the pond. We patched the hole in GD's Bass Boat with some duct tape and roofing tin we found in the shed after the Tow-a-Boat guys brought it back. Man that boat smells like the bottom of the lake. We can launch it in the pond and pull the hammock behind it catch any floaters.

If the duct tape/ roofing tin leaks we can use the spray sealer advertised on TV that seals gutters and screen doors installed in the bottom of boats.

Um... I did that already. After SD's shooters, I decided what fun it'd be if I'd cut out the bottom and "install" a screen door in the bottom, then spray that stuff. Well, that's where I was for two days, and why we're in this mess with the boat to begin with. Oh, and that's what happened to the reciprocating saw, too. GD's RS. Oops.

Has anyone received the estimate for repairs to the marina gas dock that sunk when GD's bass boat decided to use the dock for an Evil Kneivel style jump ramp?

Fabulous idea!

BTW, you got any more duct tape? It seems that bungee jumping from the chimney was a bad idea.

Got it covered. They are just gonna direct debit GD's account.

OK, been beavering away working on some last-minute details. Here's where things stand right now:

Entertainment - I know people who know people, so since Travis had to bail, we now have scheduled a really awesome big-band singer, a major rocker, and a country star (who sings real country...none of that rock-country crap). No names on account of I don't want to get everybody's hopes up. But trust me - it's gonna be goooooood!

Popo - GC volunteered to run interference with the Hiram Popo and PCSO if we need it. Speaking of, has anybody picked up the Vette? He said we could use it to ferry people from the overflow parking lots at 278/92. I know it's only one person at a time, but what a fun ride! (BBG wanted to be the driver, but I nipped that in the bud. Madea, SD, and UM will alternate driving with their other duties.)

Out-of-towners - Waski would be here, but his parents are visiting, so he's excused. AtlantaDav is excused on account of his recent sickness. Kattie E is excused because she's too darn nice to run with a bunch of hooligans like us. Otherwise, I am expecting Fox from Afghanistan, Callahan from Savannah, MacDaddy from Nashville, and OF COURSE no party would be complete without Stellarvore here all the way from Amarillo, Texas (Callahan can pick him up at the airport on his way here).

Notifications have been posted to FB and Twitter, so we should be all set on that front.

RNG - Don't think you can get out of this one, chica. You know where everything is, and we need you to be there in case we have to call the homeowner's insurance company again. Don't worry...we'll make sure your name stays out of the media.

Speaking of media, I have spoken with all four news stations in Atlanta, and they will be there periodically doing satellite reports. I've heard rumors that the New York Daily News and London Daily Mail will also have reporters there, but have not been able to confirm.

Finally, Madea - HoDe is delivering a case of duct tape tomorrow. You prolly don't need it all right now, but the rest can be for "just in case".

This is coming together nicely! :DN :B_S :DN :cheer1 :cheer1

This is the best party-planning group EVER!

And, I may need it all. I've got to repair the chimney so that bungee jumping can resume. If I don't get it done, those thrill-seekers will take over Ltd's mosh pit, and I don't think he'll like that if it happens again.

BTW, I need everybody's timeslots for the mud wrestling!
