Cherokee Sheriff Under Attack...

His policies were pretty conservative. I agreed with most of his policies. I voted for him twice. This was politics. He was doing what he thought he needed to do to get re-elected. If his advisors would have told him to nominate Fidel Castro for SCOTUS he would have. This guy is and has been a self centered loud mouth. If anyone considers him conservative that is a big part of the problem in this country. His abuse of executive power laid the ground works for the fall of this country. Precedent is 9/10ths of law. He has screwed us.

So let me make sure I understand. He is as liberal as Nancy Pelosi but he got elected pushing policies and governed by passing policies essentially completely opposite of those held by Pelosi. He did this solely to get re-elected. If that's true, do you also believe that, had he been re-elected, he would have started pushing liberal policies further left than Biden?

I get that he was and still is a largely ignorant carnival barker but I just don't see how anyone could believe he is as liberal as Nancy Pelosi. That just doesn't seem logical to me at all.

I think he's malleable and has no principles. His instincts are liberal. He's pro gun control, a protectionist (yes that is a liberal position), and an open border guy. He thought he could win as a Republican and became a caricature of one.

If this were 2016, I would agree completely with you. And, if it were 2016, I would be more likely to believe he is closer to Pelosi on the liberal scale.

But, it is 2021. He got elected as a Republican. For 6 or so years, he ran on and governed using largely conservative principles. Sure, not everything was conservative but, as I mentioned earlier, he was far more conservative as POTUS than I expected him to be. Does he really believe in conservative principles now? Only he knows for sure but I'd take someone with a proven record of governing conservatively over someone that doesn't every single time.

OK it is called humor or gross exaggeration . I compared him to the liberalist human I could think of in a two second span. I did not think I needed to write a dissertation. No he is not Nancy Pelosi nor Kamala Harris but he is not a conservative and damn sure not a team player. If I need to write in simpler concepts I will be glad to do so.

DJT is about as conservative as Nancy Pelosi. If you cannot see this then you are the problem. In fact you are ignorant.

Yes, please write in simpler concepts so us ignorant folks can understand them.

I think he governed as a business man... he knows what it takes to make a deal, and he made the deals.

I did not expect him to necessarily be conservative since much of his life he had been a democrat... but a 70's democrat is about as conservative as a 2020 republican. I voted for him to be a business man and not a politician.

I do think he loves this country and our American traditions. I don't think there is fault in celebrating what is American and also celebrating the cultural heritage your family has... that is always what made our country interesting. Now instead we are told to destroy anything American. Trump helped voice that being American, and living in America, we can take care of our country and be proud. Not sell out our countrymen and be the patsies for all other countries that to be honest, I have seen us do since I can remember.

My whole life I did not understand why we would fight other's wars and then pay for everything "United Nations" when we were the only ones paying. I could keep going..., but it was nice to see a leader prioritize US citizens before world wide citizens... and now we watch social justice take our country into the poor house for other nations and those who hate us.

Policy is the only thing that truly matters in politics...

In the end there is truth to that statement. Can policy not be set by some one of character instead of obnoxious clowns? Policy is the only reason I voted for DJT. I have no respect for him as a person. He is obnoxious, self centered, sexist, greedy, foul mouthed, uncouth, ignorant, spoiled, dishonorable, classless, rude, etc. These are not traits of some one I would have any respect at all for. By the way he is not even a good businessman. He is a pirate who bankrupts and leaves honest business people left holding the bag. Read "The Art of the Deal". It is more like the art of the steal. Refusing to pay debts you incur makes you a bum in my book not a good businessman. If policy is all that matters I am truly sad for this country.

I'm a pragmatist.

I'll take the effective loud mouth any day over smooth talking grifters who stab their voters in the back.

The GOP is dead to me.
