I disagree. What he said about the killer having a bad day served to minimize the murders and provide sympathy for the killer. What he posted on FB reflects poorly on the department he serves. Don't give me any crap what he says on his FB page doesn't.
 
Boss your last posts are exactly my point. I do not think what these clowns said or did was that life shattering or even inflammatory in my world. The point as you stated is you have to understand your opponent. The left has people who live to find a straight ,white, conservative utter anything that even in a delusional persons (liberal) mind seems controversial. You cannot fight fire with gasoline. In war you have to understand your opponent. This is a war for our country as we have known it. These guys should know better post things and say things that anyone with a mind more mature than an eight grader should know not to say in a public forum. LEO's job is to patrol, respond and enforce the law not give out information about ongoing cases. The Sheriff's office main job in counties with county police departments is to run the jail period. In counties without county police the SO patrols and responds to areas not covered by city police. This guy was out of line discussing the details of an interview that early in a case without running it through the DA's office or public communication officer.

He was simply relaying what the suspect said in the preliminary interview
and the media is deliberately taking his words wildly out of context...

He posted a joke t shirt about Covid...

This entire episode reflects poorly on the media.

I'm 100% sure I could weaponize problematic posts by every single member of this forum.

He is being judged by impossible standards... none of us would survive.

A joke in very poor taste. He gave his opinion in the statement
 
"He was pretty much fed up and kind of end of his rope and yesterday was a really bad day for him and this is what he did,” Baker said during a news conference after Long's arrest."

Sounds to me as if he gave an opinion on what kind of day it was for the killer; minimizing the kind of day the people killed and those who survived had. He shouldn't have said that, nor say anything about what was said in the interview. I bet this statement didn't make the DA happy at all.
 
People need to understand that blaming of showing anger toward "China" is typically toward their government, not the Chinese people. I dont hear anyone griping about the Chinese people, just their government.

Even NTD news, which is Chines, calls COVID the CCP Virus.

I'll say it just one more time; you should never present to the public through the media what a suspect said during an interview. "He was arrested after a high speed chase and is being charged with multiple homicides. The matter is still under investigation," is all he should have said. If reporters pressed for more information on the investigation and motives; "You will need to address your questions to the DA."
 
The guy absolutely used a bad choice of words. While they were spun by the media, he gave them something to spin. "Having a bad day", no man, just no.

Unusually I would agree with this, but the media was on a Donald Trump/white supremacist rampage. The characterization of what the suspect said as being related to sex work was probably an attempt to quell that, and I can see that reasoning. I cannot however, see that choice of words as appropriate, nor can I see any attempt to quote the suspect as reasonable here.
 
To add fuel to this fire, no one said that the CPT hawked the t-shirts after the shooting, but are trying to insinuate it by omission. The report clearly states the post was found in March of this year, but not after the shooting. Covid came from China, it's a fact, and since when is it illegal or immoral to state a fact? Since liberals control the MSM, that's when.
The CPT was asked if this was being treated as a hate crime and he replied with an explanation provided by the suspect, which I took to mean he was tamping down the targeting of Asians. The MSM is slathering at the mouth to make the incident something it's not, just for political gain,,, since the CPT screwed that up they want to pillory the CPT and the Sheriff, which is despicable!

I would be toast with my opinions that I have shared in this forum. Memes I have posted on the Joke thread. I am well aware of that. This is the only forum I participate in. I don't post in twitter, facebook, or Instagram and probably never will. The media would twist and contort everything I say as racists because I do not believe in the liberal agenda. I do not agree with the liberal platform... therefore I am racists.

Instead of disagreeing with my ideas, because I don't support theirs, and I am white, they would highlight a person a different color than white and say since I disagree with them so I am racists... it is their game.

Their game is also to point out how a conservative responds to something terrible that happens and frame it that the conservative is the story. They are now making this conservative Sheriff the story instead of the horrible shooting that occured yesterday... that is what the left does. Look at it in this light.

Bongino had a whole show on it called "conservatives pounce." When the left frames the story of something horrible about how conservatives respond, making the conservative the story... outrage at conservatives reaction to the story, instead of the story... the media does it all the time.

Instead of how the border is being overrun, it is about how conservatives are mean evil people to point out how these poor people just need to be safe in America how dare these evil conservatives deny them safety... and so it goes.

Bongino says once you identify the game, you see it every time. I think that is what we as conservatives have to cancel... stop playing their game. Call them on trying to shift the story to the conservative.

They are now making this about the sheriff instead of the shooter.
 
OK I have no problem with what this guy said or posted, BUT. The stubborn ass Trumpers have cost the country congress and the executive office by blindly following a loud mouthed politically inept wolf in sheep's clothing. DJT is about as conservative as Nancy Pelosi. If you cannot see this then you are the problem. In fact you are ignorant. Politics is a game. It sucks that that is the game they play but it doesn't change the game. Shouting out BS just means you are a louder BSer. For God's sake if you are challenged to a basketball game don't show up in cleats. If you cannot see the issue with these guys then you just don't understand, right or wrong, politics. You just don't get the game. You cannot wear 10 mile orange if you are playing hide and seek. Look most people are stupid. The left gets this the right doesn't.
 
His policies were pretty conservative. I agreed with most of his policies. I voted for him twice. This was politics. He was doing what he thought he needed to do to get re-elected. If his advisors would have told him to nominate Fidel Castro for SCOTUS he would have. This guy is and has been a self centered loud mouth. If anyone considers him conservative that is a big part of the problem in this country. His abuse of executive power laid the ground works for the fall of this country. Precedent is 9/10ths of law. He has screwed us.
