They were 6-6 6 games ago. Now they are 6-12.
So the stadium wasn't the problem.

No, but at least you can watch them lose in complete comfort....plus since it's much closer you can get home in time to watch the re-run on tv and watch them lose the same game again. So the stadium wasn't the problem.
We need another Grag Maddox so he and Freeman can carry the team
In all honesty they're not too far away from being a respectable team. They have the right ingredients, they just have to find the right mix. Several of their recent losses were by one run and they had runners on base for a chance to tie or win.....they just didn't execute.Freddie is trying now but unfortunately he can't hit in all 9 spots.
How many times have we heard this though? In all honesty they're not too far away from being a respectable team. They have the right ingredients, they just have to find the right mix. I'm trying to be positive. It's a stretch...but I'm trying. How many times have we heard this though?
Hard to stay positive when we are ALWAYS just one bat, one relief pitcher, one well placed hit from greatness. Truly great teams don't need luck or one player to make them great. Most of us can remember back when the Braves were a great team, they did it with several rosters in a row, and when one "key" player was on the DL or in a slump, another would step up and take over. That's what makes a great team, not a walk off homer in the bottom of the ninth instead of a hit into a double play.I'm trying to be positive. It's a stretch...but I'm trying.
I'm not expecting anything even near great, I'll be happy with average. We're not talking Bama football here so average will do.Hard to stay positive when we are ALWAYS just one bat, one relief pitcher, one well placed hit from greatness. Adding insult to injury, we were told that the last two seasons were rebuilding seasons leading up to this one. So far at least, they have built a carbon copy of the team they lost with three years ago, and the year before that, and the year before that... not enough consistent hitting and a weak bullpen. Even the historic starting pitching of old needed help to win games. We just can't seem to find it.
Go Braves!!!Ugh...current score Mets 16 - Braves 5.
