You're suggesting I need medication because I won't vote for Trump. Really?
I don't recall naming you in that post. You'll be fine.

The GOP did indeed cause the fracture in the party. I don't want anyone to think I'm defending them.
But Trump put a wedge in it and has been hammering away. He now has the chance to try and bring people together. His actions now will tell us who he really is.
It's always this way. Those numbers will change. I think the bigger story is between Hillary and Sanders. Nobody is talking about that.I looked over Facebook last night and saw gobs of normally Republican voters who said they now not vote, and many who said they would go 3rd party now.
Trump's negative ratings are 60-70%.

Unless he pulls off a miracle and turns that around, there is no numerical possibility of him winning.
Trump's problem is real, and it's his to try and fix.

I was going to suggest it because of the cats. You're suggesting I need medication because I won't vote for Trump. Really?
This. One open and how many might retire? Not all Republicans are conservative and not all conservatives are Republican. Very few conservatives with longevity have a 100% conservative voting record.
It boils down to a simple decision.....do you dislike Trump enough to accept Hillary as POTUS for the next 4 years, and likely 8? Hillary has a proven liberal political history, there is no doubt what her Presidency would include. To say Trump is not a conservative is one thing, to say he leans as left as Hillary is quite another. Voting 3rd party is an option but will most likely benefit Hillary. Let's not forget the selection of a Supreme Court nominee is at stake which will have profound affects for many years to come, long after Hillary or Trump are out of office. Trump has one positive thing going for him, his support for the 2nd Amendment should help him with some voters currently holding out their support for him.
I was going to suggest it because of the cats.
You know I just had to!
I for one am getting tired of the Republican party ignoring me as a voter and pandering to the far right assuming that we middle of the road conservatives will vote republican because "they are not as bad as the democrats". If there is one thing that really, really gets my goat, it's being taken for granted.
Everyone gripes about the 3rd parties not having a chance then won't vote for them because "only the Republican's have a chance". It's a self fulfilling prophesy. Well, I'm sick of it.
The machine that controls the GOP is not going to go away and you can be SURE that some kind of rule changes will be put into place to ensure that a Trump never happens again and they can get back to making big bucks for their sponsors. Unless the GOP sees themselves lose most of the middle of the road conservatives to the 3rd parties because of their crap, they are not going to change. Why change when it works?
Well, I've had it. I'm not staying at home, that's giving up, I will vote in November, but so I likely will be voting 3rd party, not as a wasted vote, but a vote for reason in a process of insanity.

The same was said of Trump. It's never this bad, Trump's negatives are at historic levels for a presumed nominee.
There's no way the DNC will allow Sanders to be the nominee. They despise him more than the GOP does Trump.
If Hillary doesn't get indicted, she's the nominee.
But circumstances are very different. The same was said of Trump.
There's a shock.Kasich is out.
I can't wait to hear Republicans blame Trump for the loss in November when in reality it will be the fault of those voting Libertarian or not voting at all. We can debate back and forth between now and November but on election day there are 4 choices: Dem nominee, Rep nominee, Lib nominee, or no vote at all. Each are perfectly legitimate choices but also have their consequences. The cold hard fact is Trump is the last one standing for the GOP (Kasich doesn't count). The same Republicans unhappy that Trump is the likely GOP nominee are the same who would expect Trump supporters to vote for their party pick. The GOP is squarely responsible for its current predicament. Had they been listening to their supporters over the last umpteen years we wouldn't be having this conversation. I personally feel it refreshing that people are finally awake and no longer accepting the party status quo. If we go down the drain then so be it. At one point you have to stop betting on the losing horse. We survived 8 years of Obummer, we'll survive 4 of Hillary or Trump.
