Jerm it's not a shock to the world but you my friend have been wireless for a looooooooooooong time. :)) :)) :))

Let me go ahead and get the college football season started. I'll be at the TECH game tomorrow night, we need to put a whooping on Western Carolina. And I'll be the biggest Boise State Bronco fan Saturday night. Hope your mutts take one right in the nads. :)) :)) :))

I still cant even get good internet service. I keep calling comcast who never come back once they come out and tell me. "You have the old lines we have to run all new lines for you. We will send someone out to check on it for you". Been thru this two times and noone ever comes back. Then with At& T air card well it works sometimes and sometimes it dont. They say we are putting a tower up close to you but be patient with us. It has been 10 months how long does it take????????????? ::)
 
And another thing I cant understand why people in the jungles of Africa can get internet services but if you live in the state of Georgia you still cant get good service. I have to admit we like to live in the back woods, however we cant get good service from anyone. :BH
 
C-Angel, get them to put something in an email or writing. And point out that if they don't take care of it, you are going with someone else.
 
Well that is the problem. They know I dont have another choice. There is noone else to go with. Our choices are comcast or At&t air card. I did call comcast back and she said she promised me an answer one day next week. Said we were 315 feet from the road and the last house on the line so that was double odds stacked against us. Said they would rather tell us they can not help us at all than to give us bad service. So :BH
 
I love wireless. I put it in my house a few years ago when I bought my netbook. Awesome!

One thing to note: is it protected? Over the summer, I got a phone call from the neighbor. They had a guest who wanted the password for "Squirrelnet". That is the name I gave my wireless internet.

Definitely make sure it's password protected. I didn't think to do that when I first hooked ours up. One night, I noticed quite a few of my neighbors were on it, so I secured it to keep them off. The next day, a neighbor comes over and asked for the password. I told him to buy his own internet service, which ticked him off. He actually said, "You've been letting us use yours for free for a month." Some people. I wouldn't be surprised if he reported be to Obama.
 
I would advise anyone to make sure you have a secure network which is password protected. You could get a threatening email from your internet provider accusing you of illegal downloads. :eek:
 
Yep, def secured here. I know some folks that just leave theres wide open for neighbors to use, BUT you never know what little Johnny or Sussie is surfing, much less anyone parked around your house with a laptop using your IP service
