What\'s a good FREE Virus protection program?

AVG for sure. The only problem is that the free version doesn't have a firewall. You can use the free Windows firewall though. Just be sure to install both.

Ditto here. I use Zone Alarm firewall. The two seem to work great together...I've never had a problem.
 
They keep one-upping each other.

At the moment, Avast Free seems the best.

AVG is good, but it can bog your machine down too. Security Essentials is pretty good.
