What are your plans for tonight?

ShoeDiva

Shoes!!!!
Do you go out?

We long ago stopped going out on New Years Eve. As my friend says, it is a night when people that never drink, decide it is okay to drink and not realize they can not drive. :huh
Sometimes we have friends over that stay with us, but we just don't venture onto the streets any longer. This year it is just us, some food, and champagne.

We usually have guests but this year got away from us, not sure who is going to be here. And of course anyone that comes over is welcome to bring their sleeping bag and pillow. If they drink and do not bring one, I have plenty they will be required to use. :)

Sitting at home with the baby and my parents are coming down. Well have a few drinks, but I doubt well be up long enough to see the ball drop. Gone are the days of all night partying. LOL

There are fireworks at the River tonight at midnight and plenty of places to ring in the New Year with people you don't know. We were invited to a formal party and dance, with an open bar to boot. Downtown will be a zoo. We will be staying home! The Savannah Police and the State Patrol issued a joint statement saying not to be on the roads after 10pm tonight. Sounds like a plan to me.

Nutting!!!! (Nothing)

Our neighbor used to get a bunch of fireworks and the entire street would be out at midnight watching his show. We all are getting old and the cold is too much for us. LOL

If I'm up, I'll be scanning pictures. That is what I have been doing for 2 days.

We don't drink....so we stay at home with the kids and eat lots of snack foods and try to stay awake until midnight. I'll try to sneak away and get onto ancestry.com and keep chasing little green leaves back to Germany/Holland/Ireland and other exotic places. :))

It is my 1 st year not doing anything.... I am staying in and taking Christmas crap down.

Then tomorrow I am staying in too but cooking a big family meal

Hog jowls, collard greens, black-eyed peas and cornbread?? :CLAP

Not much to do here. I will be skyping with someone special when it turns midnight here and then again when it turns midnight there. I get to have two New Years. :laugh

We are having a bonfire on the beach and then celebrating New Year's at a restaurant in the eastern time zone and then walking down the street about 100 feet to celebrate an hour later at a restaurant in the Central Time Zone - oh the joys of living at the edge of the time zones. :)

Pft..on the time zones. The beach bonfire sound delightful!!

I won't be at the beach but will have a fire in the pit..............gotta go clean the worms out of the pool. Every time it rains, we get 1000 more. Haven't had time to do it the last couple of weeks. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Beach Bum, next year I'm going with you!!

Gonna smooch the screen at midnight? ;D

Just heard from some friends who drove up from Atlanta. They are staying with us a couple of days. We'll probably head downtown this afternoon to do a bit of site seeing, then head back home to spend the evening. Planning to have chicken nachos, guacamole, baked brie, white chocolate raspberry cake, and a couple of types of martinis. I doubt we will stay up until midnight.

Since the world was ending at Y2K, we went to the beach. This was in my other life, pre-Chief. We had a big fire and several families showed up. It was awesome. To bad that 2000 peaked at New Years.
I hadn't thought about time zones. My Son can have New Years in the front yard and again, an hour later, in the back yard. I'll be lucky to stay awake for Midnight, Eastern.

Actually, our plans are also contingent on us being able to stay awake. :) Darn that middle age........ :)

All I can tell you is that New Year's 2013, the Highway leads right to the beach. You have a whole year to get ready for us!

We've got a wedding to go to that will carry is into the evening. We'll probably just stay home after that.
