Trump 2024

Some of you have suggested that The Donald was using RNC money to pay legal bills.

It's ironic, isn't it, that before the RNC resolution to help pay his legal fees came up for a vote, his campaign never said it should be stopped. Then, the day after they voted it down, they came out against the resolution. Trump nominated his DiL as co-chair. She has stated the RNC should pay every dime they have to get him elected. Has Trump or his campaign expressed any opposition to that? Should the RNC spend all its money on the Trump campaign?

This four free years he gave his country would come in handy about now. I wonder can he ask for back-pay for salary not received, unlike Harris’ back-pay which is classified as earned income.

He received his monthly salary as the law required. What any president does with it is up to them.

You sure about that? Regardless, I don't think he has to worry about scraping up enough free cash to pay his legal fees, fines, or whatever else they throw at him. Doesn't that just piss you off?

He cannot refuse his salary. He's not paying his legal fees.

His Save America PAC has spent $53 million on Trump's legal fees between March 30, 2023, the date of Trump’s first indictment, and the end of 2023, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission, with $38.9 million of that money spent specifically on legal consulting and other legal-related services.

That compares to $25.2 million that was spent on legal consulting between Nov. 2020, when Trump first formed the PAC in the aftermath of the 2020 election, and March 29, 2023—with $8.4 million of that spent during the first three months of 2023, right before the first charges against Trump were brought.

Apparently he can do anything he wants, at least that's what some people have led me to believe. Are you saying he can't afford to pay his bills?

There have been some reports that he doesn't have enough cash on hand to pay the recent settlements against him. He may have to sell some property or get a loan. If I remember right, the amount is over $400 million.

From what I've been hearing in the news, he doesn't have that kind of cash. No worries, though, because he has a PAC that is taking campaign donations and paying the legal bills for him. I doubt anything has come out of his pocket to pay those expenses.

Liz Cheney, Jan. 6 Committee Hid Trump Evidence

Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., chairman of an Oversight subcommittee, unveiled a previously suppressed interview conducted by the Jan. 6 select committee with Anthony Ornato, former White House deputy chief of staff.

Ornato's testimony reveals that former President Donald Trump offered 10,000 National Guard troops to safeguard the nation's capital on January 6, 2021.

The Select Committee conducted Ornato's interview in Jan. 2022.

…..

The testimony contradicts claims made by Committee member Liz Cheney, the former Republican representative of Wyoming, who asserted there was "no evidence" supporting the White House's desire for National Guard troops on Jan. 6.

I knew this, even at the time, because I did my research. I recall arguing with an ex-friend (ex fro other reasons) on Facebook about it; he had fully bought into the BLM movement and the BS from the left.
