Trump 2024

Yes, but how much effect will it have? The public has been blanketed with this stuff for so long now, it's just blah blah blah to large degree. The Trump haters will still get their cookies from it, but most of the people who like or are sympathetic to Trump really don't care.

There's some indication that the Democrats have overplayed their hand, especially since the NY ruling. Even some on the left are seeing this for what it is.

All the negativity has worn thin. The voters are ripe for a message of vision and hope. I think Trump is at least trying to give them that.

Most people aren't really thinking about the election at this point. Also, there will likely be lots of new information that comes out during the trials.

I doubt there is any concern by Democrats or their base that some believe the Dems overplayed their hand in Trump's NYC trial. I imagine they are celebrating it. The Dems will use this trial against Trump during the election as they will with the other trials coming up. All of this will fire the Democratic base up more than it will the Republican base.

This trial hurt Trump with the women independent voters. A poll released today shows Trump with only a 1-point lead over Biden. The new Marquette Law School poll shows Trump with a 2-point lead. This isn't good news for all those Republicans out there banking on Trump to win. In fact, they should be very worried because a guy suffering from Dementia and with his legal problems starting to surface is in a dead-heat race with Trump.

Right now, this election looks like it's a tossup between two criminals. The Dems really have nothing to worry about because neither Biden or Harris will be on the ballot.

Trump Wins South Carolina, Beating Haley in Her Home State

Donald Trump won South Carolina’s Republican primary on Saturday, beating former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley in her home state and further consolidating his path to a third straight GOP nomination.

Newsmax predicted Trump's win as soon as the polls closed at 7 p.m. Eastern.

Trump has now swept every contest that counted for Republican delegates, with wins already in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The former president’s latest victory will likely increase pressure on Haley, who was Trump’s former representative to the U.N. and South Carolina governor from 2011 to 2017, to leave the race.

Trump has yet another legal issue.

This one is going to sting.

Ya just can't go 'round ripping off mattress labels.

He's Evil.

The thing that a presidential candidate should think about when selecting a running mate is, will that choice be a good candidate for president after this one? Quite frankly, I don't think Swampy would be a good presidential candidate who could win in four years. Noem would have greater appeal as a presidential candidate four years from now.

Pretty much the only consideration in choosing a VP candidate is "how many votes will this person bring in this election".
I don't think that's the case for Trump. How many votes do you think Pence brought in? He barely beat Hillary and he lost in 2020. Trump wants a VP who won't outshine him, not to get him votes. He thinks he can get all the votes himself.

I'm thinking DeSantis will be the main attraction in 2028. With Trump out of the way, he should be able to do well.

Would Trump really be out of the way? If he wins this year (unlikely), he'll have a great deal of influence on 2028 and we know he doesn't always do what is best for Republicans/conservatives.

If Trump loses this year (likely), I seriously doubt he would run again in 2028 given his age, but I could see Don Jr taking over MAGA with Sr's full support.

If we can have a fair election, I think Trump will win. Clearly, the Democrats think so too, as evidenced by some of the meltdowns they are having.

The Electoral College projections show a fairly easy Trump victory.

Don Jr. might have a political future, but he would need to start with a lower tier job. Congress, governor, etc. I suppose he might take over the MAGA movement, but with Donald not being able to be president again, I don't think the Trumps would have any trouble endorsing DeSantis. Even now since DeSantis is out of the primaries, Trump has softened his language about him. It was just politics.
