another random fact about me... I am seriously one of the most boring people you will ever meet... but on FB and chat boards I am a silly one... I like to hide behind my keyboard
You're so much cooler on line?? :D

So Sadie, you are basically saying I haven't missed out on much fun not meeting you in person. I should just be happy to have you as an on-line friend. :p

I think this is 96

I'm 32, born & raised in Hiram, GA. I'll have been married to my highschool sweetheart 14 years this coming Valentines Day. We have 2 sons, ages 7 & 11 that we homeschool. I worked in law enforcement after highschool until I enlisted in the Army (11B-Infantry) in 2003. After basic I was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas with the 1st Cavalry Division. I served two 15-month combat tours in Iraq, was wounded by an Improvised Explosive Device during my last tour and because of the injuries had to be medically retired from the Army instead of completeing a 20 year career as planned. i have since moved my family back to Hiram, GA where I have found a new calling as a youth minister at our church. We also have 2 dogs, an 18-month old Jack Chi and a 5 month old Meagle.

Thank you for your service and sacrifices IV. I'm really glad you're here.

Let's see....most of ya'll know me, but here goes.

I am a twin. I am the sweet one and she is the evil one. I do have a demo sister, but she doesn't count.

I have been married almost 14 years to a wonderful man. We have 5 grandchildren. Oh he has two sons....I have no kids. I don't really like kids, but I prayed for a grandmother's heart and I have been blessed so much since I recieved it.

I like to garden. I have a great garden with raised beds. This year we are going to have to do some major repair work before I can plant. I make jelly/jam/salsa/etc from my garden.

Oh I love to PLARN. (Plastic yarn) I crochet using strips of grocery bags. I make purses and other stuff. I have sold lots at craft shows. My main goal is to make my 2nd year at Paulding Meadows a successful one. Oh and I hope not to strow my tables out on Hwy 61 again like last year. LOL

I coupon. I am so-so saving money, but it's fun. I have a stockpile of food in our junk room that my hubby calls "The Kroger Annex"! It would grow more if my family didn't want to shop in there. Dang them! Actually since I got most of it cheap or free, it's not a big deal for them to job there. I should put a piggy bank in there for them to pay for what they get!!!!

I have a new little puppy. Those that know me know that my precious Bue died last year. It's been rough without her, but my new baby "Star" has been a blessing. She is louder than any of my puppa dogs ever were. She has an opinion and she is gonna state it. LOL We have gone thru the potty training and I can say it was so hard. She loves to bite and needs to learn "don't bite the MAMA".

I am retired from Cobb County Department of Public Safety. It's been almost 5 years. WOW. I worked there for 30 years. It was the best and the worst place to work, depending on the day.

Well, that's all I can think of!

I can't thank you enough for your service. I truly hope you have healed fully from you injuries.

I am not giving my age y'all... nooooo way lets just say I have been married 17 years and I have a 16 year old...that will age me enough

Well, about me....

I have always been described as "an old soul." I don't hear that much anymore - probably because my body is catching up with my soul! LOL! I am a forty year old lady (for at least two more days.)

I love music of all kinds. It moves me! I love to dance, and I did so for most of my life. I retired 6 years ago to work full time with my husband.

Speaking of my husband, he is the most amazing man I know. We've been married for almost 13 years. He has given me his heart and taken mine. I love him more than even I can fathom, and I've been blessed to experience his love.

I am the mother of a 10 year old boy who keeps me in awe. He has the sweetest little spirit, and he makes my heart happy. He is so witty and funny (like his dad) and I love to hear the thoughts his mind comes up with. I have also been blessed to raise my 17 year old stepson for the last 7 years. He is an outstanding athlete and also shares his father's personality.

My life has been a hard one for sure. I've been plagued by tragedy for most of it, and spent a good deal of my life searching for happiness that was stolen from me from a very young age. I am blessed to have a Savior who has redeemed and restored me. I don't like to focus on the "bad" that I've experienced, but instead prefer to share the victories I've had. God has given me a gift of encouragement, and I have a heart for women and those who find themselves in circumstances that seem hopeless. Soon, I will begin speaking to women's groups to share what I've learned! (And I've begun to write my life story.)

There's a whole lot more....I'm very complex! But since I'm sure no one has a week or so to read my bio. I'll leave it there.

Oh, and I'm VERY happy to be on the Highway!

I am glad you decided to share from the heart. I would love to hear more. Maybe you should start a blog?

I've thought about it many times. I even bought a web address a couple of years ago. But who has time for that! :p

OK...my story....

I am a wife, mom, homeschool teacher, photographer, USAF vet,....chief cook and bottle washer, not necessarily in that order.

My kiddos are 12, 7 and 4.

Yes I do, but that's because it's short little stuff in between phone calls and stuff.

Remember, I had to wait until I went home for the day, to post my looooong life story in this thread.
