Should I?

Is it just me or is this just a long way of saying "I dunno"? :(

Looks like your truck is in Kansas City, next stop is our dealership.
I can see that it arrived there around a week ago, at this time it is saying it is pending an update.
This means that I am not sure when we will see it based off their information, but all it is waiting on is a hauler to bring it to us!

You are correct, we did just get our first couple of 2024 models this week, yours should be here soon!
Let me know if you have any questions, while we wait.

About time.

Finally some possible good news. The Ford online tracker never went to 'built' but today it went back to 'order confirmed' status. Based on posts on the F150 forum, going back to 'order confirmed' status usually means the truck has been shipped or is about to be. Hopefully that is the case as I'm getting annoyed waiting.

Back to the earlier wheel discussion...is it dumb for a certain future Ford F150 owner to have bought a second set of wheels for his yet to be delivered truck? Asking for a friend....

If said 'friend' did order a second set of wheels, they probably look like this. :D

These are new for 2024 on the STX trim and I like them way better than the others. So, anyone want to buy a set of 18" Ford F150 wheels? :D

Everyone needs two sets of wheels, they may come in handy if a certain vehicle ever arrives.

Technically, I'll have 3 sets including the set that comes on the truck. All different sizes (17", 18", and 20") so I can't move the tires around.

Use one set for your snow tires.

Sadly, I'm cancelling my original F-150 order tomorrow. :(

Ford really messed up the rollout of the 2024 F-150's. First, they started accepting orders late compared to other manufacturers. Second, many (maybe all) of the early orders were found to have some issue (unclear exactly, but there are reports of issues with the gauge clusters) so they were and still are being held and repaired. Third, there was a massive hail storm in Kansas City earlier this year and there are reports that some of the trucks waiting for repair got damaged. Mine was built in KC so it may have been part of those damaged. There is still no good ETA for when it will arrive despite newer built trucks being delivered and available on dealer lots.

That's the bad news.

The good news is I found one at an Atlanta dealership that I'm buying instead. It is one of the more recent builds so presumably it never had the gauge cluster problem and it didn't exist when the hail storm happened in KC. This new one is white which is not my first choice but I do like white vehicles so it'll work.

So, if all goes as planned at the moment, I'll have the new one this weekend. :dancing:

Wait…I didn’t realize they get hail in Mexico.
