I started watching Lord of the rings but then I realized I was not a 13 year old boy with a flying broom fantasy.
:spitchick (me either. I have not seen the movies.)

Flying broom would be Harry Potter, not the Lord of the Rings.

I have always been a Tolkien fan so I had to watch them. The special effects and casting were amazing!

Pride and Prejudice (BBC Version) - Please note that I said the BBC version. It's a 6-part miniseries with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. A lot of other people star in it, but they're not important. :D If you haven't seen it (ladies...I'm pretty sure most of the guys wouldn't like it), you may as well buy it right off before you even watch it, because you will buy it after you see it. Trust me on this. GAH!!! I'm having heart palpitations even just thinking about it. :sigh: Hate it

OK, now you're scaring me. Have you actually SEEN the BBC version of P&P? Or did you just see one of the other versions or read the book (which I am a total Jane Austen fan, but I swear, I have the hardest time reading her...I can read Shakespeare better than her!)?
I read the book. I wanted to kill myself. :)) No way I was watching the movie. It might have sent me over the edge.

OK, then...whew. Trust me when I say the BBC version is so far beyond the book that it's not even funny. It. Is. Awesome. I cannot even begin to describe the fabulousness of it. One day, you really should watch that version (6 hours, so you can break it up, and the first two parts are a little slow). You will see Mr. Darcy (and Jane Austen) in a whole new light.

I have a friend that is a HUGE P&P fan. She has tried to get me to watch it, but the flashbacks of the book, just make me cringe.

I can watch all 3 Lord of the Rings movies over and over, but space them out as they are WAY too long to try to watch back to back to back. I can also watch all 3 Transformers movies over and over as well!

When I watch the LOTR movies, all I can think about is how the books were different/better, so I generally don't. Never seen Transformers of any kind. However, I can watch any and all Die Hard movies over and over.
I think the movies were good. I love the scenery. NZ is the only place I can think of that I would want to see. I have no interest in seeing anywhere else until I see more of the good ole USA.
I read the books years ago.

Now to the OP
Facing the Giants-Just a really inspirational movie.
The replacements-It's funny as heck.
Did someone say Shaun Connery? Yea, if he's in it I'm watching.
Highlander - Christopher Lambert is awesome. Oh, and did I mention Shaun Connery? And, the series with the very yummy Adrian Paul.
McLintock - Classic Wayne and O'Hara.
The Three Stooges - What can I say??

I love the Three Stooges. I have part of a collection...I buy a new DVD every once in awhile. My favorite EVER is "Disorder in the Court". :D :D :D

We have that!!! We have a boxed set of Three Stooges films. I love humor like that. Harvey Korman and Tim Conway are as funny as Larry, Moe, and Curly too.

The replacements-It's funny as heck. sounds familiar I would have to look at it
Did someone say Shaun Connery? Yea, if he's in it I'm watching. I would probably not watch the rest

I should probably add for Honorable Mention - "Blazing Saddles" and "Robin Hood: Men in Tights". Always good for a guffaw.

I forgot about Second Hand Lions. That one is really good!

And I liked P&P, S&S, and Emma, but I don't enjoy reading the other J Austen books. Some of them were weird. But mei lan is right about the BBC version of P&P (although, I enjoyed the other, too.)

In the last 11 years, I haven't watched much that didn't have Disney in front of it! :))

The few movies that I was over and over these days are the ones my kids get, oh like Miley Cyrus, The Blindside, and my son was hooked on 50 first dates for a while! :laugh

:)) I totally understand not seeing movies. I know I missed many, so I figured I was going to watch some and not HGTV during the night when I can't sleep.

Star Wars. I mean the original un-messed with version where Han kills Greedo in cold blood. I fell in love with sci-fi when I saw that movie.

The Boondock Saints - this movie is amazing. Funny, violent...inspiring, in a sick sort of way.

The Usual Suspects - Classic. You need to see this.

Snatch - Vinnie Jones, Brad Pitt, Jason Statham, a crazy russian, some idiots, and a huge diamond. This is hilarious.

Jet Li's Fearless - I never get tired of watching Jet Li kick people's asses. Not to mention, this is based in history, and we get to see the so-called champion fall from grace and then regain his honor. It's also a bit of Chinese propaganda. Look at how they illustrate the US and Japan. Of all of the contenders in the tournament, the American is a violent overpowered brute, but an honest sportsman in the end, and the Japanese swordsman is the only one there that demonstrates any kind of honor.
I have seen The Usual Suspects. :thumbsup
I am going to look up The Boondock Saints.

I like those, too. And my son also had a hooked on phase with 50 first dates. :))

That Thing You DO is coming on starz in 5 minutes.. yep. I am gonna watch it

Itunes ...I am about to purchase the sound track with the tones of gift card credits we got.

Love this movie... its proof I was born in the wrong era
