My Emergency this morning!

I have a coffee maker that shuts itself off after it's been on an hour.
Most of them do now, but it still has electricity going to it and can possibly short circuit. Callahans was not on when it happened. So unplug yours. ;) (Just in case)

I leave my Bunn coffee pot plugged in. I heats the water in the reservoir and keeps it hot, when you add fresh water it releases the hot water into the pot. So what am I supposed to do???

Just start crying.

:D
Pft, that smiley would be crying if mine died. :Ninja That is why I now have two Keurigs and a regular drip. I (knock on wood) would not think all would go out on the same day. :))

The risk of fire in modern kitchen appliances is actually quite low. They might burn up inside, make stink and smoke, but odds are against them causing a fire because of how they are constructed.

Portable heaters, improper use of extension cords, fire places and wood stoves, improperly done electrical work probably causes most home fires that are not a result of lightning strikes or outside burning.

I agree with you, but it wasn't the case here. The Chief came home with a sweet new fancy coffee maker. Maybe this one will last a little longer and not start a kitchen fire. If I'm out, it will be unplugged. It isn't worth even a remote risk.
